Franklin Finds a Forever Home Hank, who is now Franklin, was a 9 month old Klein sized poodle who came to us through a breeder in Utah. She had rescued him from another breeder who was having some difficulties. Hank was adopted by the Weryzynski's of Queen Creek. We are so thankful for him! He is such a sweet little love bug and makes our family complete. Thank you Arizona Poodle Rescue! Leanne in Tucson was happy to adopt him and give him lots of attention. He also has a new poodle brother Reggie who loves him. Arizona Poodle Rescue is an all volunteer group. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are in private foster homes in the Phoenix area. This 2-year-old Standard Poodle weighs 51 lbs. Are you looking for a big ole cuddly teddy bear? Then Marley is your guy! General Behavior: Marley is a happy and outgoing boy who is always prepared for lots of snuggles and play. He is super lovable and is sure to greet each person he meets with that silly, toothy smile of his. Although Marley loves to play, he is a fairly laid-back pup for his age. He will take advantage of the naps he can get while lying at his humans feet and will certainly take any hugs, rubs, and cuddles he can get. He can often be found following his foster family around the house asking for pets or for their participation in his favorite…a game of fetch! Marley does feel quite uncomfortable when separated from his trusted people when he knows they are home. When you are home, he wants to be right by your side. Training: Marvelous Marley has shown off his house training skills in his foster home and once settled, will let you know when he needs to go out. He is very well-behaved and has great basic manners, he is very eager to please. He also walks well on a leash. Medical: Marley has bilateral hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis in his right hip. However, he has no current hind limb lameness. He is still an active and playful pooch and is not affected by his diagnosis at this time. He has not yet been introduced to any cats but we think he would do fine with them. Children: Marley is a gentle giant and is cautious with kiddos. A home with children would be okay. Home: Marley is such a sweet guy with the most loving personality. He is very respectful of the home he resides in and would do well in both a sizable apartment and a single-family home. His ideal family would be an active one that can provide him with the activity that he requires and of course, play a couple of games of catch with him every day. Grooming: As a Standard Poodle, Marley will require regular visits to the groomer every weeks. Any potential families should be aware of this recurring expense.
