All Labradoodles loose their old hair at least once in their life; between the age of 8 and 14 months all puppyhair is replaced by adult hair. The puppyhair needs to be brushed out thoroughly. Some people prefer their puppies to be shaved or trimmed very short at this point in time. When this is all over, it suffices to brush the dog twice a month.
