purebred labrador puppies for sale philippines
There are two of us here at Puppy Love. This enables us to have several dogs in our breeding program and still ensure that each one gets the love and attention they deserve. We raise our dogs in our homes where they are part of our busy families. We both have five kids each who help to love and train our dogs and socialize the puppies. When we purchased our first Australian Labradoodle about 12 years ago, we were surprised to find that everything we had been told about this wonderful creature called the Labradoodle was true! They are friendly and fun loving, making them a wonderful family pet for children as well as adults. They are highly intelligent, easy to train and very intuitive, making them great for animal assisted therapy. We have sold many puppies over the years for therapy purposes to families who have kids or adults with special needs and also for therapy use in health care or educational settings. They truly are amazing animals and they will have you wrapped around their little paws before you know it. We breed only true Labradoodles or the Australian Multigenerational Labradoodles. We do not breed any early cross labradoodles or any labs to poodles as we have found that there is not enough consistency in temperament as well as coat. We like to be able to ensure that all of our puppies will have great personalities combined with fleece or silky soft coats that are allergy friendly. Not all Labradoodles are Created Equal! Our labradoodles are members of our families and have really enriched our lives. We want to bring them, a wonderful family pet and companion to your home. If you have allergies and have previously been unable to enjoy a dog for a pet, our puppies are the perfect choice for you. We only breed pure Australian Labradoodles. Because these are multi generational dogs, they have a much better, hypo allergenic, very little to non shedding coat. Most of the early crosses have a tendancy to shed. With multigenerational Labradoodles you get the benefit of may years of selective breeding by the breeders that started it all in Australia. In terms of Labradoodles, you really do get what you pay for! We are not a kennel. Our Australian Labradoodle puppies are hand whelped in our home and spend the first weeks of their lives in our Master Bedrooms where they and the moms feel the most safe and secure. At 3 weeks they move into the main living area of the house. From here they can see and hear just about everything that goes on in our homes on a day to day basis. Our children, who range in ages from toddler to young adult help to love and socialize the puppies until they are ready to be adopted and go home with you. Puppies raised in this environment make the best pets because they have been given the best possible start. They will enjoy running with you, swimming with you, they are great at fetch, highly intelligent and easily trained. When you are all done playing, what the Labradoodle enjoys the most is a nice, warm cuddle with you! Start your summer off in the best way possible by adding a new puppy to your family. Get out and enjoy the beautiful season with your new best friend! Contact us for details. Testimonials Our experience with Puppy Love Labradoodles has been a very good one. Right from our first call from Darice asking us all kinds of questions about our home life so that she could decide if we were the right people to purchase one of their puppies. We could not be happier with Darice and her family's professional and caring help. No questions have gone unanswered. We would not hesitate to buy another puppy from them. Contact Details. Testimonials Charlie Hello Darice, Thank you for this beautiful, handsome little guy you chose for our family. He is so sweet. We are all doing well. Still getting used to each other with a few minor bumps along the way, but only to be expected. He is a pretty calm little guy, good with the kids especially with our younger kids. He is doing well with crate and house training. He is playful and snugly and we all love him. I will send more pics. Thank you again for everything! I hope you enjoyed the holidays. I just wanted to let you know that my little Charlie Bear is doing so well. He's absolutely fit into my life perfectly and I hate being away from him for even 5 minutes! He's a smart little guy, too smart sometimes!! He is sitting on command, will lie down usually sometimes he is too full of energy , loves going for walks and jogs and is so good on his leash. He's experienced a lot of different people, kids and dogs already and just fits into every situation. I love that he's independent but also at times just wants to cuddle. His crate training is going pretty well, some nights he makes it through the night but he hasn? He usually doesn? He has a larger crate that he stays in when I'm not home with lots of room to play and even when I am home he goes in there to play sometimes, he never cries when I leave the house so I think he's already got our little routine figured out. Plus, the fact that my family comes over every day while I'm at work means he's not alone for too long at any time. He's over 9 pounds already every morning I wake up and I swear he grew overnight. He's been really good about brushing teeth, grooming, etc. He's definitely got no fear, he went from being scared to go up one stair to running up my spiral staircase to the second story in about 5 minutes! Charlie is just the best thing that? Please know he is being well taken care of and loved so much by my entire family. My parents come over daily just to play with him. Cruikshank, L — Calgary, Alberta Rosie We just wanted to let you know that you sent us an angel: She is the gentlest little creature that we have ever met. She answers to her name, and is learning to sit and fetch at rapid speed!!! She has NOT had one accident in the house and she is the Queen bee: She loves her new bed in the day time and then at night, she alternately sleeps with the boys, and ends up in our bed: The Children adore her, they have never been ready for school at am in their little lives, and out in the garden to give her a run. She had her 1st Vet checkup yesterday, and they told me that she was perfect. He has an incredibly gentle and loving disposition, and enjoys nothing more then cuddling up for a belly rub. He is well behaved, listening and responding quickly when most commands are given. Although tentative at first with the occasional person, he quickly befriends almost any one after given the chance to sniff them out. This is important, as M-O gets tons of attention from other people when out on walks, and many can't resist petting him and asking about his breed. He is very popular in public. M-O's mild manners make it extremely easy to do most grooming activities. He is very patient during our ear cleaning, nail trimming and brushing. While these are not a favourite activity for most dogs and some will actively fight the process, M-O sits tolerantly and uncomplainingly. Mo is great with children; his gentle disposition is wonderful for out nieces and nephews who love to follow him around, petting and playing with him. He eagerly accepts their attention, He is very good companions with our friends' one-year-old toddler, who loves to touch his nose, pet his tail and play ball with him. Again, Mo's mild manners put us all at ease that these children could take a treat or toy right out of his mouth, and he wouldn't show any aggression. As for us, as his guardians, we can't express enough the joy that Mo has brought to our lives. He is a great walker, and taking him off leash at a park always results in a jubilant game of chase. Mo loves nothing better than to be pursued, whether outside or around the house. He makes fast-friends with other dogs with playful personalities, and loves to play chase with a girlfriend next door. He also enjoys playing catch at home, and grinning up and down the stair in pursuit of a ball. Tug-of-was is often another favourite. Lastly, we greatly appreciate Mo? Tavis grew up on a farm with outdoor dogs, so having an indoor pet was an adjustment for him, as he didn't want to constantly be cleaning hair off of his clothes and furniture. Mo's coat is a welcome relief. We both found it hard to believe that such thick and beautiful fur doesn? This was also a plus when some relatives visited this summer. Our bother-in-law is allergic to dogs and normally wouldn't be able to stay in a house where a canine lives. With Mo, he had no problems. They went home thinking that may be and Australian Labradoodle could be the pt for them as well! Simply put, M-O is a joy. We can't imagine life without this perfect family pet. We could not have imagined that he would be such a great dog. He has been with us for just over a year and we adore him. Milou has become the centre of my children's lives. They love to play, run and just cuddle with him. They hurry home from school so that they can be with him. Milou is so easy to train. He learns quickly. He is fun just to watch. He is also so handsome and the none shedding is fantastic. We could not have asked for a better dog. Thank you for raising such great dogs. She was calm and affectionate even after her long airplane trip. She is a very healthy puppy and settled well into our household of two adults and one little girl. Teddy showed a quick intelligence at dog obedience lessons and was clearly delighted to see her puppy classmates each week. Rain or snow, Teddy loves her daily soccer game. Teddy's love of her family and the neighbours is mutual. She is easy to get along with, learns quickly and is a delightful dog on every level. We are very pleased that we chose Puppy Love Labradoodles. She is, as called, the life of the party, and is sooo smart, a feature now glaringly obviously absent in our earlier dogs. Our son absolutely adores her and she reflects his moods, close when he is sad and hyper when he is hyped up. She puts him to bed every night as part of her night time routine. She is the star of the office and visits often. She will stay the whole day when no one at home greeting clients and loving it. Thank you so much for allowing Cleo into our lives — a total improvement. Although still a puppy, she understands perfectly what is expected of her. She adores the kids and plays with my son as soon as he comes back from school: 5 to 10 minutes prior to his arrival, she'll sit and wait at the door.I take her on long daily walks which she loves, rain or shine! It's hard to imagine that Cognac has been in the family for a little less than a year now. She just fits so well in our home. Friends and neighbours have also come to know her, all of them curious to see what the labradoodle breed is all about. I had moments of doubt about even getting the puppy. But I trusted, took the plunge and the rewards have been great. Brewster came to me from Canada. When I picked him up at the Austin airport, he was a little tentative at first but that didn't last long. By that evening he was lying at my feet while I prepared supper for my granddaughters. He was a typical baby running, jumping, playing, getting into trouble and then collapsing in a heap to sleep. He obviously had been well socialized and loved before he came to me. He loves people and wants to be a part of everything. By far the smartest dog I have ever had, at 3 months he is already housebroken, knows his name, the words sit, stay, come, toy, command to whiz, and of course "No". He is such a delight and is the talk of our little town. Everyone knows Brewster and is anxious to see the finished product as his coat is changing color daily. We take walks around our small town and he attracts much attention from passers by. Darice has always been accessible for any and all questions that I have had regarding Brewster. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is true and in the case of these puppies, they are worth every single penny! My name is Cooper and my mommy and daddy are soooo proud of me because i am such a good boy and very clever! Andrea did tons of research before she decided to buy me from Darice to surprise daddy she said that Darice always answered her MANY! I know that Darice would only let me and my puppy siblings go to the best homes where we would be loved forever! I love my new home and my new mom and dad, but I will always remember my wonderful home in Alberta.Someone to keep my better half company while I was on the road working and also not aggravate my allergies while I was home. After some research and talking to Darice we made the decision to go ahead and get on the waiting list. After a few months of built up anticipation I made the journey out to Martin and Darice's lovely home, settled in the country where the dogs are free to run around and play inside or outside. Once I was on my way, the trip home was non eventful as our new puppy, Taz, slept most of the way home. Once back in Ontario he adjusted quickly and is now enjoying his new home and my allergies have yet to bother me. It's been 2 months and he's full of energy and very smart. He already can sit, shake paw, fetch and he's house trained. Dealing with a breeder from Western Canada was painless and worked out smoothly for us. We couldn't be more delighted and everything they say about Labradoodles is true, they're great. It was a long process until I found the Labradoodle breed. I was so excited to hear of such a breed since it was fairly rare. I came upon Puppy Love Labradoodles website and I phoned Darice and I knew she loved what she was doing and was more then happy to have me over to her house to see what a Labradoodle was all about. The puppy we recieved was exactly like Frenchie even though there was no relation at all but I swear they can be brother and sister. Everyone who visits us absolutely falls in love with our "Gracie" and they want to take her home. She is 4 months now and is so smart. You can teach her anything and with a few tries she has it. She never barks even if another dog is barking right at her. We love her so.If you want a dog that has a great disposition, friendly with kids and other animals this is definitely the breed you want. The price is worth what your getting. She was very helpful throughout and very interested in matching us with a suitable dog that would fit our family and lifestyle. We visited her home twice while the puppies were little and found the pups being raised and socialized in the middle of a nice family environment. Gus is now almost 6 months old and is a wonderful addition to our family. He is a happy, self confident and determined pup who gets along very well with other dogs and with all the people he's met. It looks like he's going to grow into the range of 25 to 35 lbs as Darice estimated. Gus is also completely non-shedding which was important to us due to an allergy issue and just because it's nice not to have a house full of hair. Jim and Pat Norton — British Columbia Arlo I just want to say thankyou Darice and family for providing us we all the answers to our questions during this bizarre process of buying a dog over the web. What I wanted for a dog was a lab that did not shed and what we got was even better, a dog that has a great personality loves kids and other dogs wants to learn new tricks all the time. At 4 months Arlo can sit, lie down, roll over, stay, speak, dance on back legs, play dead, give kisses, fetch and brings the ball back to you, and best of all does not shed and is a very healthy and loving dog. So for us buying a dog over the web from puppy love labradoodles has been a great experience and are looking to buy another from Darice and family so thanks again Darice you are a class act we only wish all breeders were like you. People who are looking to buy a labradoodle please be careful out there there are a lot trying to say they have multigen labradoodles but they do not. Puppy Love does and they are worth it. From the first contact made with Darice to the present day, she has been very receptive to my many questions about this fascinating breed. We are so happy with our new puppy. She is bright, great with the kids and doesn't shed. Just like the advertisement! I would recommend anyone considering Puppy Love Labradoodles to continue with the process. You will not be dissappointed with the care, concern and support that Darice gives to her prospective puppy parents. We love our Dazzy! Right from our first call from Darice asking us all kinds of questions about our home life so that she could decide if we were the right people to purchase one of their puppies. Once she had determined that we were suitable candidates we too had questions. We were concerned about the size of the puppy we would get. Darice invited us to her home to check out a puppy that would give us some idea how big it would be at a certain age. There was no hesitation on her behalf and that told us we need not have any worries about the kind of environment our puppy was coming from. We visited the home and were more than happy with the way the puppies were taken care of. They are as said on the web site whelped right in the home. As of paying our deposit we received constant updates on the Mum and how she was doing. Once the puppies were born we thought Darice and her family went above and beyond anything we expected with constant updates and photo's of the the litter. We trusted Darice and her family to choose the puppy they thought best suited our profile. We are glad they chose for us and are more than happy with our puppy. Bella is beautiful and very healthy. The local vet we chose for her said she is in excellent health and has a wonderful disposition, he is delighted to have her as a client, no surprise since she comes from such great parents. We have had no problems what so ever with her, she is now 17 weeks old and needed almost no house training and is already taking commands with just a little coaxing. She is as perfect as a puppy can be. We could not be happier with Darice and her family's professional and caring help. No questions have gone unanswered. We would not hesitate to buy another puppy from them. Start your summer off in the best way possible by adding a new puppy to your family. Calgary Calgary first responder and dog breeder battle over month-old Australian labradoodle service dog A dispatcher diagnosed with PTSD after taking a call about a girl killed by a C-Train says she fears she may never see her service dog again amid a custody battle that raises questions over what it means to be an animal's "guardian. Greenslade agreed to be Milllie's guardian, which is a designation somewhere between owner and foster parent. Hannah Greenslade A dispatcher diagnosed with PTSD after taking a call about a girl killed by a C-Train says she fears she may never see her service dog again amid a custody battle that raises questions over what it means to be an animal's "guardian. The issue is that Greenslade agreed to be Milllie's guardian, which is a designation somewhere between owner and foster parent. According to several dog breeder websites, a guardian is someone who agrees to provide a loving home to a breeding dog, either a female or a male, until that dog's breeding obligations are fulfilled. Afterwards, the guardian is provided full ownership. Usually a contract is signed, but in this situation, there was no formal contract issued or signed. Rather, their agreement was made over several texts and evolved over time and now neither side can come to a common understanding. They've been apart now for more than three weeks while Millie is at the breeder's in Cardston. So I wake up, she's not there, I have a panic attack. Hannah Greenslade Guardianship One of the biggest benefits to being a guardian is cost. The guardian ends up paying far less for the dog than what an owner pays. In Greenslade's case, she was not required to pay anything. She says she just had to pay for food, vet costs and anything not related to the breeding program. Greenslade alleges the owner of Puppy Love Labradoodles, Kelsie Payne, is reneging on that agreement. Payne, however, argues that agreement was based on false information and says Greenslade is unwilling to find common ground. Payne spoke to CBC News with her lawyer present. Litter debate Both sides agree their original text agreement was for Millie to have four litters. She says she later learned Millie couldn't be registered unless she was spayed. Certification would allow Millie to travel on planes and enter certain places that require the official designation. Greenslade says that initiated several back and forth text discussions with Payne that eventually led the breeder to agree to limit the number of litters to just one. Millie had her litter of nine pups last month. Greenslade says it's time to return Millie but Payne won't release her. Payne offers a different perspective. She says she initially agreed to what she thought was "support dog" training as long as it wouldn't interfere with the breeding program and was assured by Greenslade that it wouldn't. Then when Greenslade told her it was PTSD service dog training, she says she agreed to the training because she felt sympathetic to Greenslade's situation. She says she then agreed to the one litter because she says Greenslade told her Millie needed to be fixed by the age of two in order to be certified. If Millie had another litter she wouldn't be able to be fixed until she was over the age of two. But Payne says she has since learned that Millie could be certified past age two. Greenslade now says she was misinformed about the age limit. Puppy offer Payne says knowing Millie didn't have to rush out of the breeding program in order to be certified she says she suggested keeping Millie for one more round of breeding, to ensure the breeding line would continue, and then giving Millie to Greenslade. But Greenslade says she declined the offer. She says she finds it too hard to be apart from the dog. Each time Millie is bred, she must leave Greenslade for two months until the puppies are weaned. Payne says she's also offered to give Greenslade one of Millie's puppies to start over. Greenslade also declined that offer. Dogs not easily replaced Brian Archer is with the Citadel Canine Society, a national non-profit organization that provides trained service dogs, or access to trainers if they have their own dog, to first responders and veterans who are suffering with PTSD. Citadel Canine Society worked with Greenslade to train Millie. Archer says he reached out to Payne to explain the seriousness of breaking off Greenslade's and Millie's relationship, but he says he wasn't able to convince the breeder. He says part of the magic of a service dog is that its connection with its partner can't be trained, so he says if you take that away, the individual has to start all over. He says that has the potential to lead to dire consequences for the person suffering PTSD. Would-be guardians have much to consider The owner of Prairie Doodles, Gail Groeneveld, who also runs a guardian program, says these types of disagreements are rare but happen so she says it's important people know what they are getting into before they sign up to be a guardian. She says there's no question that dogs in guardian programs belong to the breeder until they are fully released to the guardian. And she says its important people research the breeder and read over the contract beforehand. Business considerations Greenslade says, based on texts from the breeder, she believes the issue is money. But Payne says it's not just about money, it's also about ensuring Millie's breeding line continues. She says it's too early to know whether one of Millie's current pups will have the quality of health and temperament needed to keep it going. Payne's lawyer says his client has done everything to try to ensure they can both be happy, and get what they want, but Greenslade has rejected their suggestions. Greenslade says she is still considering her options. She has also retained a lawyer. Her family has started an online fundraiser to pay for legal fees. She says she has no plans to give up Millie. I was hoping that she would have a change of heart and just give me the dog," said Greenslade. Clarifications An earlier version of this story referred to the dog as an Aussiedoodle. In fact, it is an Australian labradoodle. Dec 06, AM MT.
This mix results in an intelligent, loving, and outgoing dog who enjoys being around people. They enjoy the company of both humans and other animals. They are generally good with children, although they may become overly excited if not properly socialized from an early age. Overall, Bichpoos make wonderful pets for families and individuals alike. The Bichpoo breed tends to have the best traits of both parent breeds. This makes them easy to train for tricks and obedience. They are also low-shedding, making them a good choice for people with allergies. These pups enjoy spending time with their owner and do not like being left alone for long periods of time. They make great companions for family life or individuals who are looking for an affectionate furry friend. Bichpoo Puppies Health Considerations Though generally very healthy and long-lived — with an average lifespan of around 12 to 14 years — our Bichpoos for sale are not without their unique health concerns. Like every breed of dog, there are a few conditions you should be aware of before you consider purchasing one of our Bichpoo puppies for sale. While these conditions can be costly to treat, the good news is that they can often be effectively managed with proper care. Finding a Bichpoo puppy for sale from a reputable breeder can dramatically — although, not eliminate — the risk of your dog developing some of these conditions. The coat is hypoallergenic and does not shed, making the Bichpoo an ideal choice for people with allergies. Although the coat does not require much maintenance, it is important to brush it regularly to prevent mats and tangles from forming. In addition, the coat should be trimmed every few months to keep it looking its best. Meet Bichpoo Puppies for Sale. The mix originated in Australia and started appearing in the late s. The goal was to breed a low or non-shedding dog that was sturdy and active with a temperament for families with children. The Bich-Poo is charming, affectionate, highly intelligent, and eager to please. They tend to get along well with other pets and with children, which makes them a great fit for families. Bich-Poos are also alert watchdogs. They can be prone to excessive barking, but training and socialization as a puppy can curb this tendency. Although they will alert you as a watchdog, they are more interested in making friends, so will not make a good guard dog. Bich-Poos are highly adaptable. They do well in apartments or larger homes as long as they get enough exercise and fit right in with families with children, other pets, or both. They do well in most climates and, as with most dog breeds, caution should be taken with extreme heat or cold. With this first generation cross, many of the health issues associated with the parent breeds are often not a concern. However, there is always the potential for inherited issues. Some of the potential breed-related health concerns are allergies, patella luxation, and progressive retinal atrophy. Because they are a small dog breed, they are also prone to breaks and fractures if dropped. This designer dog breed tends to be highly intelligent. That, paired with their eagerness to please their owner, makes them quick learners and fairly easy to train. They tend to be a good fit for owners of any experience level. Novice owners may want to enroll in obedience and training classes to ensure training and socialization is going as it should. A professional trainer can also help you put a plan in place to eliminate any potential issues with separation anxiety or the nipping that can become a common fear or anxiety response in small dogs. A Bich-Poo will often have a soft and curly coat. If their coat takes on Poodle properties, then it will be low-shedding and hypoallergenic. Common coat colors are typically light, like white or apricot, but can appear in other colors like tan, brown, black, or gray. Professional grooming every six to eight weeks is also a good idea for a healthy coat. You will also want to trim their nails monthly and clean their eyes and ears regularly. Although small, these dogs are robust and energetic. They tend to have bouts of high energy and require regular exercise throughout the day. Although they are active dogs, moderate levels of exercise will be enough to tire them out. Regular exercise, like daily walks and active playtime, will help immensely when your pup gets a sudden spike of energy and starts racing. Some of their energy bursts can seem endless, but, due to their smaller size, they do tend to tire quickly, so these bouts of energy will likely be on the shorter side. After that, your Bich-Poo will likely be ready for a nap and some cuddles. Keeping your dog well-exercised and engaged is key. A bored dog is one that can become restless and start to whine, chew, or bark. This designer dog breed usually stands inches tall at the shoulder and can weigh between pounds. A Bichpoo will generally live between years. Featured Bich-poo Article.

Since they were improperly trained, boxers have developed a bad rep as "headstrong" dogs. Training based on corrections isn't always effective with working dogs because of their intelligence and working breed characteristics. A clicker-based training approach based on operant conditioning and behaviorism tend to work better with Boxers than with other animals because it allows the dog to exercise independent thought and problem-solving skills. By nature, the Boxer is not a vicious or aggressive breed. It has a strong protective instinct and can develop strong emotional ties with the people in its care. All dogs, including this one, need to be properly socialized. Larger adult dogs, especially those of the same sexes, may test the patience of a Boxer when dealing with smaller dogs and puppies. I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T. I am a licensed veterinary technician, so all my pups are raised with the utmost care when it comes to their health. I began breeding when I discovered how difficult it was to find our own English Bulldog to bring home. Now, we have 1 to 2 litters per year, and every pup is raised in my home with 6 children and lots of snuggles. Coming from a veterinary background, we take many steps to make sure that healthy English bulldog puppies are brought into the world. All our dogs will have a full health check by a registered veterinary technician, and our puppies are bred with specific characteristics in mind. Then, each one of our puppies are raised in the house, with our 6 kids, making sure that they are brought up around other dogs and family-lifestyles. We Breed For Temperament When we breed English Bulldogs, we make sure to breed for a certain temperament that will be ideal for individuals, families, young children, and other pets in the home. We do not breed dogs who display signs of aggression, or dominance towards other animals or children. This pre-assessment is then re-enforced by the way the pups are raised when they are born. Health Healthy dogs and puppies are our first priority. We verify that our dogs have good hearts and good lungs before they are bred, and everyone gets basic blood work done to check for healthy kidney function. Finally, all our pups have regular vet checks. I have breeding papers and rights as well. He loves to play and is a total chunk. He will grow up to be a very muscular dog. These puppies are from a registered AKC litter. Ham has got his first set of shots. He's learning to explore outside and go potty. He's starting to wean off his mom and eat more dry dog food. He still is a ball of energy. She loves puppy food. She would make a great companion for anyone: She is from an AKC registered litter. He is from an AKC registered litter. All males. What Is A Merle Pug? The merle Pug is just as much Pug as any other specimen of this breed. Merle puppies are still Pugs with the same body and temperament characteristics as fawn or black Pugs. The issue with the merle coat is that it does not occur naturally with this dog breed. The merle coat is a result of gene manipulation either by accident or on purpose. Those patches are often blue or gray, and appear a bit washed-up. You may recognize them as blue merle Pugs. The base coat is not a solid color. Although merle is simply a stunning coat pattern, it brings along many potential problems, and a wide list of hereditary genetic conditions. Now, I want to discuss the origin of merle Pugs. When did they first appear? Do we know who the first merle pug was? Pugs are an ancient breed. These days, planned breeding is what breeders use in order to achieve the desired coat. Merle Pugs are all the rage. And, let me tell you something — this business is booming! About The Merle Color The merle color is a result of specific genes. Canine experts call those genes M genes. Remember when I told you that the merle coat pattern can occur naturally with some dog breeds, like Collies? So, how does the merle gene occur with the Pug dog breed? Are those Pugs really purebred dogs? The merle gene has to be introduced from another dog breed. Dogs that are carriers of the merle gene were probably used in the breeding process some time in the past, which has resulted in merle Pug puppies. This is a long process, and it does not guarantee success every time. Also, merle Pugs can be crossed with other Pugs to achieve a spotted coat. Transferring The Merle Gene Photo from: patternedpugz When it comes to the merle gene, we can tell apart two different merles: the big M and the little m. The entire merle coat depends on the combination of these merle genes. The m gene from the other parent does not have to be present. Also, two M genes are of a certain merle coat — sadly, a double merle. You can avoid the merle coat if your puppy inherits two sets of the m gene and no M genes at all. How Healthy Are Merle Pugs? Pugs are small dogs with thin legs, and yet, a sturdy body. The first thing that many dog owners notice about Pugs is their smushy face. This condition stands for Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome , and it affects the upper airways. But, this is something that all Pugs experience. Are there conditions specifically linked to merle Pugs only? One of the biggest potential health issues for merle Pugs is deafness. Hearing problems can affect one or both ears. They can vary in intensity from partial deafness to complete loss of hearing. Hand in hand with deafness comes blindness. The same rules apply to blindness: one or both eyes, and partial or complete blindness. These are conditions that your merle Pug can live with. Pugs are known for having many skin hot spots. Their coat is super short and sleek, wrinkly, and prone to infections. Because of the lack of melanin in the spotted areas, merle Pugs are highly prone to hypersensitivity to sunlight. Merle Pugs can easily get sunburns, which can, unfortunately, lead to skin cancer. Applying sunscreen on your merle Pug is not ridiculous. I encourage you to do so every time you go out in the sun, when the UV index is super high. When we talked about breeding merle Pugs to non-merle Pugs or standard Pugs earlier, we mentioned that those dogs may or may not turn merle. When breeding two Pugs that are merle, you increase the chance that the puppies will be merle, too. Breeding of two merles results in puppies that are known as double merles. Double merle Pugs are almost always ill. Rarely does any double merle puppy end up being happy and healthy. Double merles are born with severe vision impairment, some are even missing their eyes altogether! I would never recommend getting a double merle Pug puppy. How Rare Are Merle Pugs? Of all the Pug colors including apricot, black, silver, and fawn, the non-recognized color is the rarest. As I mentioned earlier, it takes a lot of effort, time, and dedication to get a merle dog. And, for what? For having a Pug that may or may not be severely ill? No, thank you! PupVine promotes health over physical appearance any time. Good luck finding a merle Pug whose owner is ready to breed him or her. Are Merle Pugs Expensive? Well, this is a surprise! Merle Pugs are usually more pricey than other Pug colors. I find it hard to believe why someone would price potentially ill puppies higher than perfectly sound dogs of standard colors. The only reason I can see such an approach is profit, and profit only. Adding the adjective exotic always plumps up the price of the puppy, and makes people want it more. In fact, such people are very proud of having merle Pugs because they believe all the other dog owners envy them. Being proud of the merle coat is a bit ridiculous. Every dog owner wants a healthy puppy to spend lots of happy years with. So, to sum up everything: please avoid the merle Pug and pick any other approved Pug color. From there we began showing dairy goats, angora goats, and pygmy goats in 4-H, FFA, and open shows from .When my son went off to college, we decided to sell off our dairy goat herd and focus on our Pug Breeding Program. Once we were able to focus on our Pug Breeding Program more we began to search for pugs of unique colors that we didn't already own. In I quit my job, and started breeding pugs full time. My new job title is a "Stay at Home Pug Mommy". Instead we retire them and they live out the remainder of their lives here at Tipping Point Farm, playing, eating, sleeping day after day, and spending time with our family. After all, Pugs are the ultimate companion and mans best friend. They will always be there for you no matter what, whether they are trying to cheer you up, steel your food, or give you kisses. With such a large demand for our pugs, I have now brought in my mom's dogs to be a part of my breeding program, so everyone is able to have their own Tipping Point Farm Pug. My Mom owns a farm thirty minutes away from me where she lives and raises her own pugs with help from me. On February 11th, , my first pug, "Cheese", the one who started it all passed away suddenly. The whole family was devastated after learning of her passing and spending so many years with such a great dog. I was heart broken, I lost my best friend. This one dog was the reason behind my whole pug breeding program. I loved this dog so much that I wanted to breed pugs so everyone could have "their own Cheese". After all, Pug love is like no other, you are their world and they become a family member. Even though Cheese is no longer here with us, I know that I am lucky enough to have got to spend so many years with her and have her daughters, grand daughters, and great grand daughters. When it comes to our pugs, Health is our 1 priority and then of course color! From day one, we are directly involved with our puppies, we help them come into the world and love them everyday till they go to there new family. Please feel free to call or email me anytime you have a question or are interested in a pug. Thank you for taking the time to read the Story behind our farm. We are looking forward to hearing from you and your family and to adding a new member to your family. I apologize for this and will be back to keeping up with my website for .As soon as we learned of the diagnosis, we made arrangements to meet with the surgeon. Unfortunately after the scans were taken, a spot was found on his liver which gave him a terminal diagnosis 2 months without chemo, 6 months with chemo. In March of he opted to start a chemo regiment every 3 weeks to hopefully extend his life expectancy. During the next few months him and I created a bucket list of things he wanted to do, which we were able to complete in between his visits to the hospital and chemo treatments. In August his cancer was reassessed to see if the chemo treatments had been working. The results were heartbreaking, the chemo hadn't worked and his body was full of cancer. Within a month of this heart breaking news my fathers health deteriorated, he was back and forth between hospice and the emergency room until he lost his battle to cancer on September 22, .My fathers loss has been extremely difficult, but I am now able to start focusing on my breeding program once again. As of right now we have big plans for .For more information about our plans, please contact me with any inquiries regarding current and future puppies or keep checking back for updates. We appreciate your patience and look forward to adding the newest fur-member to your family. Sociability The Earliest Records of the Merle Pug in History The Pug is an ancient breed of dog that most likely originates in China where it was bred as a companion pet for wealthy individuals. It is believed that they date back to B. This means that they have the ideal temperament for a companion dog, being generally happy, and always happiest when they are allowed to spend as much time as possible around their humans. They did not require a lot of exercise, were small and easy to keep, and they were generally amenable little dogs. This led to the Pug not only becoming popular with everyday people but also with some prominent figures. Formal Recognition of the Merle Pug Pugs are generally recognized by most kennel clubs, but the Merle Pug is not, because it cannot be a purebred Pug and there are some concerns over the health implications of breeding the merle gene into the dog. The Kennel Club accepts silver, apricot, fawn, or black colored pugs. They Have Been Life Savers Pugs have long been kept by members of royalty from around the world and, in at least one case, even saved members of the royal family. In , Spanish soldiers attempted to kill Prince William of Orange, the Dutch prince, but his Pug, Pompey, heard the assassins approaching and started barking. This alerted the Prince and his men to the presence of the soldiers and his life was saved. As a result, the Pug became the official breed of the House of Orange. They are the epitome of lap dogs. In reality, the breed originates from China, however, and is more closely related to the Pekingese than any Bulldog. Pugs generally make excellent pets. They are loving and loyal and enjoy spending as much time as possible with their owners. And, they are not only understanding of children but they enjoy the attention and especially enjoy spending time with kids that are old enough to be able to throw a ball or toy around for them. However, it is worth noting that Pugs are somewhat prone to certain health conditions , most of which are related to the brachycephalic face. Pugs may also suffer from weeping eyes. Conclusion Pugs are popular pets and are an ancient breed that originate from around B. Their prowess as companion dogs saw their popularity spread throughout Asia before the dog headed to Europe, where its popularity also spread. Today, the dog is still bred as a lap dog. While the Merle Pug is popular with some owners, it is not recognized as a Pug by kennel clubs because the merle coloring is not naturally occurring in the Pug breed, and it is believed that intentionally breeding it into Pugs can cause health problems. November 11, 1. Merle is a very interesting and exotic looking fur pattern present in some dogs breeds. It is a pattern in the fur rather than a fur color. This pattern expresses itself as random dark patches of fur over a lighter solid or piebald coat. Merle is not a naturally occurring color for pugs. The merle coloring is not a naturally occurring color and it needs to be bred in over generations to maintain the pug look but with different coloring. That trophy goes to brindle. Most pugs are usually either fawn or black. Merle Pugs are not purebred If you breed two purebred pugs together you will never be able to produce a merle puppy. So, for pugs to be merle they must have one or more ancestors who have been bred with another dog breed that does have the merle gene. Some people may think that merle pugs are purebred because they still look the same as other pugs but this is just due to the careful introduction of the merle gene and selective reproduction to maintain the pug look, but with the merle fur pattern. If you consider this is for a healthy, purebred fawn or black pug, then a merle pug should not cost more than this! However, there are some dishonest and tricky sellers out there who market merle pugs as exotic, rare and trendy to try and get a higher profit. Merle Pugs do not have additional health problems compared to regular pugs Merle pugs are just the same as regular pugs but with different color fur. This is a standard merle pug with the genes Mm. These pugs do not have any additional health problems however, the presence of the merle gene does increase the chances of pugs developing the health conditions usually associated with them. The pug breed alone has some significant health conditions that should be taken into consideration. These health concerns may include: Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome BOAS : This can cause severe breathing difficulties due to their flat faces Eye problems: including dry eye and corneal ulcers Hip Dysplasia Skin Infections Pug Dog Encephalitis: This condition can cause blindness and a host of other ailments and can eventually be fatal If you wanted to take a look at this in more detail check out the PDSA website. All of these health concerns are for any pug, including merle pugs. Double merle is what happens when you breed one merle dog with another merle dog. In any case, double merle dogs have a much greater chance of developing health conditions. It usually involves blindness and deafness due to a lack of pigment in the eyes and ears. Some extra splotches of dark fur on their back. Regular fawn or black pugs are expected to live between 12 and 15 years, however, the presence of the merle gene does increase the probability of pugs developing some serious health conditions and it can exacerbate some conditions that pugs already surfer from. However, a double merle pug would certainly pose some ethical problems due to all the health issues that they have. Breeding for color When you start breeding dogs for a specific color or a rare color, you start running into some issues. So, what is the verdict? Should you get a merle pug? Is it ethical? Are they rare and exotic? Ultimately, you should never purchase a dog just based on its aesthetic appeal anyway and you should always do your research to figure out if choosing a certain color means that animal will have a poorer quality of life. Dogs that are harder to train will require a bit more patience and practice. Proper exercise, nutrition, and hygiene also play an important role in the lifespan of your pet. More social dogs have a tendency to run up to strangers for pets and scratches, while less social dogs shy away and are more cautious, even potentially aggressive. The Earliest Records of Merle Pugs in History Pugs were first bred and honed into perfect companion dogs around BC, making them one of the oldest breeds of dogs in the world. They were first bred in China, and the flat-face dogs were the chair warmers and close companions of Chinese royalty and the elite. Everyone in the upper circle of society, from Tibetan Monks in their temples to Emperors in their Palaces, the Pug was so revered that they had guards and servants of their own! Then, the breed was refined and resided with British celebrities and royalty. Finally, in the 19th century, the Pug made its way to America, and the American Kennel Club recognized the breed in .They were immediately popular when the breed first emerged in China, and their lovable faces made them a curiosity to the traders who shipped them to Europe. The Pug began to take off in England when the monarchy adopted the breed, with Queen Victoria owning several and passing them down the family line. In the US, the breed was slow to gain popularity. However, with the founding of the Pug Dog Club of America in , the Pug has slowly crept up the ranks. However, only the following colors were accepted by each club: Black Apricot Silver Merle is not a recognized color in any of the major kennel clubs because it does not occur naturally in the breed as it does for others like the Cardigan Corgi. The merle gene is semi-dominant, meaning only one must be inherited from a parent to produce a merle coloring. In addition, double Merle Pugs can also be born with eyes much smaller than normal called microphthalmia , which can leave the dogs blind. These health issues are why breeding merle dogs is a controversial topic, and kennel clubs will never register a double merle dog. Image Credit: Virginia Blount, Shutterstock 3. Pugs also often have trouble giving birth, so the number of puppies could be less than those of another breed. Instead, merle has to be bred in from a breed that can pass on the merle gene, and two purebred Pugs will not be able to produce a merle puppy. Merle Pugs can make loyal, loving, and carefree pets to the right owner, as long as the owner is aware of and able to deal with some of the potential illnesses they can have. Pugs have other well-documented health issues due to having flat faces, including breathing and eye problems. However, owners knowledgeable about what the breed needs regarding care and exercise can have a fun-loving and loyal companion in the Merle Pug. Image Credit: Virginia Blount, Shutterstock Conclusion The Merle Pug is an anomaly in the dog world since the breed does not usually carry the patterning. Merle is a genetically inherited trait that must be bred into Pug lines from other breeds that can pass the gene on naturally. If they are bred responsibly, merle dogs often live normal and happy lives without health issues. Regardless of the controversy surrounding them, Merle Pugs make excellent pets for responsible, caring owners.
But, unfortunately, there are so many organisations only in it for the money, charging exorbitant prices and neglecting the health and wellbeing of their puppies and dogs. One of the most obvious signs of an unethical breeder is the poor or neglectful treatment of their puppies and breeding dogs. An ethical labradoodle breeder in Australia will; Strive to find the right home for their puppies. Instead, they go above and beyond to make sure they find the perfect home for each puppy. Usually, the search involves asking potential buyers a range of questions about their home and lifestyle, so they can pair families with a puppy that has a temperament right for them. Provide the highest quality care and living conditions. Ethical breeders ensure that both the puppies and breeding dogs have premium quality care, including comprehensive health checks, socialisation, and training. Rehome adult dogs. Once the female is retired, she is de-sexed and either adopted by our internal staff or a loving family. Never separate the puppies early. Puppies Downunder waits until the puppy is ten weeks old before we allow them to join their new family. Meet and exceed all the necessary requirements. We comply with all codes and requirements set by the Domestic Animal Act, actively assist with inspections of our facilities, and have received approval from the Chief Veterinary Officer of Victoria to operate as a Commercial Breeder and the Minister for Agriculture. The breeder should be asking plenty of questions. A puppy is a long-term commitment, so ethical breeders ask plenty of questions to make sure the buyer is the right fit for the puppy. Here are a few examples of questions you can expect to hear; How much space do you have? Will you be home often? How often will you exercise the dog? Do you have kids? Do you have other animals? Where will the puppy sleep? They should encourage you to visit the breeding facility. When looking for Australian labradoodle puppies for sale, you need to make sure the breeder will allow you to inspect the facility and meet the parents. You can also ensure the dogs and puppies are raised in clean, high-quality conditions by visiting the facility. The Puppies Downunder team understands that not everyone can come and visit our facility, so we have plenty of photos of both the breeding facility, puppies, and dogs online. The breeder should try and find out the address the puppy will be living, the details of the new veterinarian, and any other relevant information needed to ensure the puppy is being well looked after. Your breeder should have organised the first two vaccinations, microchipping and worming and parasite prevention, before going home with their new family. At Puppies Downunder, we go above and beyond, providing a complete medical history. We also provide you with information about their individual dietary requirements, socialisation, registration, medications, and required vaccinations. An excellent ethical breeder should be vetting potential buyers to find the right family for that specific puppy. Is the puppy cheeky? How much exercise does the dog need? Unfortunately, a lot of unethical breeders will understate or flat out lie when telling buyers how much exercise their new puppy will need. For example, people looking for a labradoodle for sale in Australia might be told they have a moderate activity level, which is accurate. However, they may be given the same advice for bordoodle, which is wildly inaccurate for this high-energy, restless dog. Can you provide references? The breeder should be able to provide you with references from a veterinarian and previous customers. We offer lifelong support. At Puppies Downunder, we continue to provide support for our customers throughout the lifetime of their puppy. Do they offer a guarantee? At Puppies Downunder, we provide a health guarantee for the first 21 days of sale. Do they provide the essentials to give the puppy the best start to life? Dogs are our passion, and we dedicate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to their care. In fact, we have the highest ethical standards of any dog breeder globally. We absolutely adore mini labradoodles, and we take advantage of any opportunity to share our love of them with others. What Is A Mini Labradoodle? Their beautiful, calm temperament and high intelligence make mini labradoodles ideal candidates for therapy pets and service dogs for individuals with autism, PTSD, diabetes, and other disabilities. How big do they grow? A mini labradoodle will typically grow to cm in height and around kg in weight, so they stay relatively small. From elderly couples to families with small children, the mini labradoodle will fit right in. Do mini labradoodles shed? That all depends on their coat. If a mini labradoodle has a wool coat, the tight curls will catch any dander, fur, and dirt, thereby minimising shedding and reducing allergies. However, wool coats are high-maintenance and require brushing every day. It all depends on the type of coat your mini labradoodle has. Fleece and hair coats are very low maintenance, but wool coats are pretty high-maintenance. They have a pretty moderate level of activity, and they enjoy minutes of exercise per day as well as playtime and mental enrichment. Are there any health concerns we should keep an eye out for? Mini labradoodles are a crossbreed, so they have very diverse genetics making them less likely to develop genetic diseases. They may also develop hip or elbow dysplasia if over-exercised or overfed. Labradoodles have adorable long ears, but this means they are prone to dirty ears and ear infections, do their ears need to be checked regularly. From birth to 8 weeks, puppies benefit from valuable socialisation time with their siblings and mother. However, not crate training your puppy may be doing more harm than good. We suggest introducing your puppy to their crate throughout their first day, enticing them with treats and making sure they associate the space with positivity. Open the crate door throughout the day, so your puppy can retreat to their safe space whenever they feel the need. Make sure your puppy has a separate area to go to the bathroom at night. Puppies Downunder are an ethical mini labradoodle breeder, and we take great pride in our high-quality breeding facilities and our commitment to providing a safe, comfortable home for our dogs. They have incredibly high intelligence and need to be kept mentally stimulated; otherwise, they can become bored, stubborn, and destructive. Dogs with high intelligence love a challenge, and they love working for their food. You can either purchase puzzle or interactive feeders such as snuffle mats or Kong toys, or you can create your own DIY slow feeder bowl. We suggest having a few different puzzles in varying difficulty levels, so your puppy is always mentally stimulated at dinner time. The labrador retriever in your labradoodle will have an instinct to retrieve, and the poodle side will have an instinct to hunt, so try to incorporate these traits into games. Silicone licking mats are a fantastic way to keep your dog entertained. Smear some peanut butter, wet food, or baby food on the mat and pop it into the freezer. Once frozen, get it out and give it to your puppy to lick for a refreshing summer treat. You can buy or make plenty of toys that encourage your puppy to solve a problem before receiving treats as a reward. For example, grab a muffin tray, some treats, and some tennis balls. Put treats in a couple of the openings and block them all with tennis balls. Your dog will need to snuffle and work out which balls have treats underneath. Cut a slot in the bottle and fill it with food or treats, and let your dog bat it around to get the treats out. Dogs who are allowed to sniff and explore on their walk are far more stimulated than dogs that just walk. Dogs are our passion, and we dedicate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to their care. Breeds The link has been copied! Golden Retrievers are one of the most popular dog breeds in the world and for a good reason. They make wonderful family pets due to their friendly personalities, endless loyalty, and high intelligence. However, before bringing one into your home, it is essential to consider the costs associated with owning a Golden Retriever. In this article, we'll explore the question, "How much does a Golden Retriever cost? The overall price of a Golden Retriever can vary widely depending on a number of factors, such as the dog's age, lineage, and location. However, it is crucial to keep in mind that buying a puppy is just the beginning of the expenses associated with owning a Golden Retriever. In addition to the initial price, routine vet visits and vaccinations are necessary to keep your Golden Retriever healthy and prevent illnesses. These costs can add up quickly, especially in the first year of your dog's life when they require more frequent check-ups and vaccines. Your dog will typically require annual check-ups and routine vaccinations throughout their life. You can also choose to microchip your pet for additional security measures. Another ongoing expense associated with owning a Golden Retriever is grooming. While Golden Retrievers are relatively low-maintenance when it comes to grooming compared to some other breeds, they do require regular brushing and occasional baths. So, you will need to set aside adequate funds for this care. A Golden Retriever puppy cost can vary. The overall price will depend on whether you choose to purchase from a breeder or adopt from a rescue organization. However, it is essential to note that some breeders will charge more for puppies that have exceptional bloodlines or rare coat colors. If you choose to adopt a Golden Retriever puppy from a rescue organization, the adoption fee is usually much lower than the purchase price from a breeder. It is important to note that adoption fees will usually cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and shelter for the puppy while in the rescue organization's care. Often if you choose to adopt from a rescue or dog shelter, the pet will come into your family already spayed or neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Color One of the most significant factors is the color of the puppy. Golden Retrievers typically come in shades of gold, but some may have a slightly darker or lighter coat, which can create variations in their price. For instance, puppies with lighter-colored coats may be more expensive than those with darker coats. Bloodline Puppies with a pedigree from a well-known champion bloodline are often more expensive than those without a proven lineage. This cost difference is because they are likely to have a superior appearance, temperament, and overall health characteristics. Often dogs from such lineage come with documentation and official paperwork to verify their background. A quality breeder who has invested time and resources in breeding and raising quality Golden Retrievers may charge a higher price for their puppies. This reason is that they are more likely to provide you with a healthy and well-socialized puppy. Estimated Size Finally, the estimated size of the puppy can impact the cost. Typically, male Golden Retrievers are larger than females, and puppies from larger litters may be smaller than those from smaller litters. Owing to that, puppies from a smaller litter may be more expensive as they tend to be in higher demand. Overall, it is essential to consider all of these factors when looking to purchase a Golden Retriever to ensure that you get the best value for your money. As we've discussed, the cost of purchasing and maintaining a Golden Retriever can quickly add up. However, investing in a GPS-tracking dog collar is one way to protect your investment in your furry friend. A GPS-tracking dog collar can help make sure that your Golden Retriever doesn't wander too far from home or get lost. This feature is especially important if you live in an area with a lot of traffic or wildlife, where your dog could be at risk of injury or getting into dangerous situations. A GPS tracking dog collar can help you quickly locate your dog if they do manage to escape, allowing you to bring them home safely and quickly. No doubt a GPS-tracking dog collar is an additional expense, but it can provide peace of mind and protection for your furry friend, making it a worthwhile investment for any Golden Retriever owner. It can give you the confidence to let your dog explore and play freely while still being able to keep an eye on their location and well-being. Incorporating the Fi GPS Tracking Dog Collar into your Golden Retriever's routine can help ensure their safety and security while enjoying all the joys of owning this beloved breed. The collar has a long battery life and is water-resistant, making it durable enough to withstand daily wear and tear. The collar also offers activity tracking, which can help you monitor your dog's exercise habits and ensure they are getting enough physical activity to stay healthy. Golden Retriever Breed Guide The Golden Retriever is a popular breed known for being friendly and having an affectionate personality. They are intelligent, eager to please, and have a gentle nature, making them excellent family pets. They are typically very patient with children and get along well with other animals, making them an ideal companion for families with kids or other pets. Golden Retrievers are considered to be a medium to large breed in terms of size and weight. Males typically weigh between 65 and 75 pounds and stand in inches between 23 to .Alternatively, females weigh between 55 pounds to 65 pounds and stand in inches between .Golden Retrievers have an average lifespan of 10 to 12 years, but with proper care, they can live up to 14 years. Golden Retrievers are an active breed. They frequently require multiple sessions of daily exercise to stay in peak shape. They enjoy many types of outdoor activities, including swimming, fetch, and hiking. These dogs make great companions for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. However, they can also adopt a more laid-back lifestyle if they don't receive regular exercise. The lifetime care costs of a Golden Retriever will often depend on factors such as their health, age, and lifestyle. Budgeting for these costs and planning accordingly to ensure that your furry friend receives the care they need throughout their lifetime is essential. There are several ways to reduce the cost of owning a Golden Retriever. One option is to adopt a dog from a local animal shelter or rescue organization. Adopting a dog can be significantly less expensive than buying a puppy from a breeder, and it also helps to reduce the number of dogs in shelters. Another way to save money is to consider adopting an older dog instead of a puppy. Older dogs may have already gone through the training process, which can save on the cost of obedience classes and training supplies. They may also be less demanding in terms of exercise and may already be house-trained, which can save on cleaning and flooring expenses. When buying a Golden Retriever puppy, it's crucial to find a breeder who will always prioritize the health and life quality of their dogs. A breeder should be able to provide you with health guarantees, documentation of the puppy's lineage, and proof of vaccinations and other necessary medical treatments. Moreover, it's also a good idea to visit the breeder's facility and meet the puppy's parents, if possible, to get a sense of the breeding environment and the temperament of the puppies. While it may be tempting to choose the cheapest option when buying a Golden Retriever, doing so can lead to additional expenses down the line if the puppy develops health problems that require expensive medical treatment. A reputable breeder may have higher upfront costs but is more likely to produce healthy puppies with fewer genetic health issues. This initial extra cost can ultimately save you money and heartache in the long run. By taking the time to research breeders and consider all options carefully, you can save on the initial cost of owning a Golden Retriever while still providing a loving home for a furry companion. Conclusion: The Cost of Owning a Golden Retriever In conclusion, owning a Golden Retriever can be a fulfilling experience, but it is crucial to consider the upfront and ongoing costs that are commonly associated with owning one. By understanding the factors that impact the price tag of a Golden Retriever and exploring ways to reduce those costs, you can ensure that you are providing the best care for your furry friend without breaking the bank. Lastly, you will want to consider how to protect your newest family member and the investment that comes with them. It is also important to understand there are different types of golden retrievers which may affect pricing. For example, if you decide to choose the lowest golden retriever cost option, those puppies almost never have the necessary 3rd-party assurances or veterinarian procedures like dewormings, vaccinations, health-tested parents, or a thorough health checkup. These missing costs and services will be your responsibility, making the total cost ultimately the same. Not to mention the added stress on you these extra expenses and issues create! Adopting vs. Please note that depending on the shelter, you may have to pay additional costs for your Golden certain shots and procedures. Depending on if the golden retriever is a boy or a girl may affect the price as well. Some male vs female golden retriever differences may make you prefer one over the other. This will ultimately save you time and money on your golden retriever price because breeders often pay lower veterinary rates than individuals do. Distemper, for example, is a highly contagious disease that attacks the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and nervous systems of dogs. Unfortunately, there is no cure — just a lot of expenses and stress which really adds to the overall cost of your Golden Retriever puppy. It is wise to ask your vet for guidance on this decision. Talk with your vet about the procedure, when you should get it done, and how much it might cost. Dental Care for Your Golden Retriever Golden Retrievers, like many dogs, can be prone to dental issues such as plaque buildup, gum disease, and tooth decay. These cleanings typically involve scaling, polishing, and potentially extractions if necessary. Some groomers may offer package deals or discounts for regular appointments or bundled services.
