He is never far from wherever I am. Even while I am working, he is sitting under the desk or nearby. He has discovered soup bones and tries to carry them in his mouth, even though they seem a bit too big for him. February 12, Rocky did pretty well on his first night here. Even so, he was perfectly fine heading outside on his own. Between the walks and finding every stick in the yard. Rocky napped a good bit. He definitely loves the attention and snuggling with anyone who is around. Rocky is also a bright little guy. In one day, he has learned where the food and treats are kept and also caught on that ringing the bells on the doors means go outside. February 11, Rocky is an 18lb. This morning, before the sun came up, Rocky rolled into town. After a quick trot, he was ready to roll. Since we live close, the ride was short and he was great in the car. He settled in quickly and really is amazing. No doubt he will be gaining on them soon! He was good meeting the neighbors and getting pats from everyone. This dog has been the best companion, we live near Peoria Illinois now and my lab is probably the most popular dog of our family. Everyone loves her! Already raised around children and socialised. A Golden Retriever is a Golden Retriever, a different colour does not make it healthier. Pale Goldens do not have better Temperaments! Again, this is not due to colour. It is how you raise your pup goes a long way. If you have bought a pale puppy it will NOT darken with age. If it has no colour behind its ears, tip of tail, or hocks then it will be pale for life! Please do not question me when the dog is 8 years of age and is still very pale. This question needs to be referred to back to the breeder of him, not me. I can only help you get a darker one the one you wanted in the first place next time. Again NOT true. The beauty of this breed is in one litter you can get a range of colours. Doesn't matter what country the dog comes from. Cross breeds are healthier because you are taking out the bad and only leaving the good.There is no guarantee that you won't keep double the bad points and get rid of the good points. This is why we breed purebreds so we can watch the pedigrees and follow what is there and what isn't there. Cross breeds are exactly this, cross breeds. Any other registries are not offical and have no standing with international organisations or local councils. And below was a special one as it wasn't raised by mum. A nurse mum, beautiful Aussie Girl and a Schnauzer Girl took the role on. If an English Setter Mix takes after their Setter parent, they will grow to be a sporty and athletic medium-sized dog with a lot of energy and a playful personality. English Setters tend to be loving, affectionate dogs. They are known for their gentle dispositions, but are also known to be mischievous at times. They tend to get along well with children and other dogs, but tend to have a high prey drive. If an English Setter Mix takes after their English Setter parent, then you can expect a similar temperament. You can also meet the mother in person to see what her temperament is like and the behavior she is modeling for her puppies. The breeder should have started socialization and training, but it is up to you to continue to train and socialize a puppy once you get them home. An English Setter is a moderately adaptable dog breed. Their high energy tends to make them a better fit for homes with fenced yards where they can run. They do well in most climates, but are sensitive to heat and may need some winter dog products to stay warm when temperatures drop. They also do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. My name is Mitzi Michelle Brooks. I have had dogs all my life and German Shepherds most of that time. I have tried different breeds, but always come back to what I know and love. The German Shepherd Dog is the right fit for me. I breed large, old-fashioned, straight-backed, German Shepherds with a special focus on health and temperament. I am a very small breeder, all my dogs live with me, in the house. They are first, and foremost, my beloved pets. In my litters, I concentrate on the things that matter most to me: Health and Temperament. My dogs are all larger than the breed standard but with no compromise to their health. All my dogs are medium to low energy, making them easy to train and ideally suited for families. I do not breed: dogs that are hyper, dogs that show any signs of aggression, working dogs, high drive dogs, or dogs with excessive angulation. Puppies are born and raised in my home! That means your puppy goes home with you already socialized with other dogs, with cats, and familiar with all the sights and sounds of a normal home. All puppies are also current on vaccinations and on a set deworming schedule. The puppies bred here are sold as companions and pets. I use a high titer Parvo Vaccine at 4 weeks but this may not protect all puppies.
