It was mostly me who looked for a breeder, then I was in a long correspondence with one, then we switched to another… Long story short, we found a good German Shepherd breeder and finally found our Rufus. At first he lived in the house with us. Then it was summer, and we built a little fenced in area in our yard where he spent a lot of time while we tended to the garden. He was the one who did the most training. Truth be told, he did it even though we tried to teach him not top. But, once he matured a bit, around the age of 14 months, he became much smarter and more mellow. More polite. However, he is an excellent protector. Today no one can enter our house unless we invite them and if someone puts their purse or a bag on the floor in the house, Rufus will think it now belongs to us until we give it back to the owner. We are still working on his protective instincts to try and modulate them so he is nicer to friendly strangers. He is also extremely smart. He probably knows about words if not more, and many commands. He knows the names of people, and of most of his toys. Sometimes we think he will start talking to us! Cute Rosie Story: Rosie is a total goof. Whenever she sees kids, she goes up to them and rolls over on her back to show her tummy. Rosie was just so good and sweet with her. Another time, the girls wanted to give Rosie a baht because they had never given a dog a bath before. Rosie was so good at letting them wash her with my help, of course and it was so sweet to see. Why is Rosie Being Rehomed? We brought Rosie home at 8 weeks old and they two dogs seemed to get a long just fine. When Rosie got to be about 4 months old, the two dogs started to fight violently. Rosie and Emaline have gotten into several fights and I am so so worried about the safety of both dogs. For whatever reason, the two girls just do not seem to get along I have subsequently learned, that, generally, you do not want to have two female dogs in a home together because, apparently, females are more likely to fight for dominance than a male and female together or two males together. I have been bitten several times trying to separate them and it is just overall very scary for everyone. When the do fight, Rosie just shakes it off and does not seem to be too disturbed but Emaline is terrified and shakes violently for several hours after a fight. This has been a really hard decision for us to make because, as you can see from my above statements, Rosie is an absolutely wonderful dog in so many ways and we love her to prices. These are the times when she has an accident and this is my fault not hers. If either my husband or I ever need to stay late at work, or want to go out right after work with friends, we need to communicate that to each other in advance so that one of us can be home to let her out. We are home a lot and spend a lot of time with Rosie. During the day, we have her in a small area about 8ft by 10 ft that we have gated off. In the area we keep toys for her and her bed. We lead a pretty quiet life and have a lot of time to spend with her. She should be the only dog in a home. Also, we can keep a relationship with the family she goes to and we can do dog sitting if you ever go out of town.

If the puppy is found to be unhealthy a written diagnosis from the veterinarian must be provided , the puppy may be exchanged for a puppy of equal value if available. No exchanges or refunds will be given after 5 days from date of transfer. As the Breeder of your new puppy, We have done everything we can to ensure that the health of your puppy is excellent. Your puppy is guaranteed to be suitable for the purpose of which he was purchased. If you have purchased a Pet Quality puppy and the puppy is diagnosed with a health condition that requires euthanasia or causes sudden death, you will be given a replacement puppy of equal value. Please Note - at Breeder's expense, Breeder reserves the right to a second opinion prior to euthanasia. If you do not give us this right to a second opinion, no replacement puppy will be offered. If you have purchased a Breeding Quality puppy and the puppy has a genetic condition that allows him to live a healthy pet quality life, yet is something that should not be used in a breeding program, you will be allowed to choose a second puppy at half price the difference between a pet quality puppy and a breeding quality puppy. If you have allowed the dog to breed, then you are accepting the dog to be in good health and suitable for breeding and no replacement guarantee will be honored. All costs associated with returning a puppy to Breeder for replacement if so desired, or you may keep the puppy if you wish and having the replacement puppy shipped if necessary to Purchaser's location will be paid for by Purchaser. I cannot stress enough, the importance of obedience class and socialization for a German Shepherd puppy. No guarantee will be honored without written documentation of completing the class. A well mannered puppy does NOT just happen, your puppy will become what you allow him to become. Breeder may be contacted at any time for advice and concerns. Please do not hesitate to call if you have questions about your puppy. An occasional update and picture of puppy would be greatly appreciated. New owners must keep address and phone number current with Breeder. Legal actions will be taken to return puppy to Breeder if reports of neglect are indicated.
