Husky Labrador Mix Diet Husky Labrador Mixes should have a diet that is high is protein without excessive amounts of carbohydrates. The reason why the need a high protein diet is because they have a lot of energy and the protein will help them get through the day. It is also a good idea to avoid dog foods with rendered fats, processed grains and artificial coloring as Labskies have sensitive stomachs. A good way to stop sensitivities from forming is to give your Labsky a range of meat types. You can vary their diet by giving them fish such as salmon or even rabbit or venison. A Husky Lab Mix should eat 2 to 2. The amount of food a Husky Lab Mix should eat depends on their size a gender. Generally, a female Labsky would eat half a cup of food less than a male as they are smaller. Provide support. When their feet lift off the ground assume a supportive position by placing one hand beneath their rump. Once your dog has build up confidence point them towards the shoreline and let them swim in. Stay close by your dog and correct their swimming technique if their rump starts sinking.
