The good vets at Winnipeg Animal Emergency Hospital helped me get bilateral femoral head ostectomies done to provide relief, and after some rest, I went into rehabilitation with Head To Tail Pet Rehabilitation to gain strength, muscle and mobility back. I have continued to go to rehab for laser therapy and hydrotherapy underwater treadmill to make sure that I stay as strong as possible. I love my human friends at rehab - they have so many treatos! But let's talk more about who I am! I've learned that my kennel is my safe space, and I am good about being in it, and I never have accidents in the house. My leash manners have improved a ton, but I still sometimes forget my manners. I can be reactive on leash to other dogs and small creatures, but I can be redirected and have been working on my "Leave It" and "Let's Go" commands. My foster mom says I'm doing way better! I prefer a home where I am the only animal. Other dogs are just not something I want in my space, and cats are way too fun to chase. I hear little kids can be fun, but they make me uncomfortable. I'd prefer a home with people who can understand me, so a home with children over 16 years of age is best. I'm a pretty easy-going girl in the home and enjoy spending sunny summer days outside relaxing with my humans. I really like walks and going for a good sniff and this activity is good to keep my muscles strong! I enjoy lounging and getting belly rubs.
