When they saw Georgia, a senior that needed a home, they knew Priscilla would want them to honor her by adopting another senior bulldog. Begin this routine well before you have to start leaving your GSD alone every day. Since dogs are pack animals, they can sense your stress level and your anxiety. Try to remain calm. Instead of being dramatic about it, just give your dog a normal amount of affection, put him in his safe zone or crate, and then leave. This senior lady is an absolute angel. She was with her doggie sister Matilda. Marley acted as a seeing eye dog for Matilda who was blind. They were bonded and loved each other. Sadly Matilda deteriorated rapidly in a shelter environment and passed away there leaving Marley all alone. When we got Markey from the shelter her entire demeanor changed into a happy dog again that is so grateful for another chance. Marley is a 10 year old, female, Standard Poodle mix.
