Always make sure that their ears get dried and their coat is completely dry before you begin trimming their hair. Clip and trim around their face first. This is something that you need to be careful with and you might want to get specialized clippers to target their face. If you want to purchase an inexpensive, highly rated pair of clippers specifically designed to trim the fur around the face, ears, eyes, paws, and butt. If you feel uncomfortable doing this first, take them to a groomer and ask them for any advice they can give you for trimming the face.
