For more than seven years, Rich has been working in the commercial shipping industry, as the Claims Department Manager for Charles R. Weber Company. She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine after playing basketball at the collegiate level. Having been raised in a small town in western Oklahoma and later met and married her husband, Dr Joe Quinn, in veterinary school. Following vet school graduation and they moved to the Dallas metroplex TX. Dee did not make the cut to become an Assistance Dog so she returned to the Quinns and became an outstanding ambassador and therapy dog, and further sparked Dr. Chelly to pursue helping out with other service dogs and organizations. Chelly is a board member for Search One Rescue Team which serves north Texas urban and rural communities. Cooper, a handsome golden retriever, was her working trailing dog for the team and taught Dr Chelly even more ways dogs can help people. They continue to volunteer their time with service dog organizations in the Dallas area. Chelly continues to manage a very limited house call service, primarily for dogs recovering from orthopedic surgery or elderly dogs with mobility issues. They enjoy having their three children and their families nearby and especially the growing crew of grandkids. I am excited to get involved in Dogs for Better Lives and help out however I possibly can. In her role, Lisa and her HR team support 3, professionals across 20 countries. Prior to Trimble, Lisa worked for more than 15 years as an HR executive in the financial services industry and in professional services. Lisa has a close connection with the mission and vision of Dogs for Better Lives. He is a German Shepherd. Crixus is the best dog I have ever had. I can't believe how smart he is. Sadly, she passed away shortly after this photo was taken at the age of 8 years. He is a 3-year-old male German Shepherd. The dog on the right is Elsa. She is also a purebred German Shepherd, but due to her coat type her ears were too heavy and just would not stay up. They love to have their picture taken. To make a long story short, the end result was that he had a very large nearly cantalope size splenic tumor which ruptured ultimatley causing his untimely passing. He was playing and being his usual self at 8 in the morning and not even 12 hours later, he took his last breath. This came from our vet. As soon as Ace began to mope around we called our vet right away. They told us to bring him in right then, which we did and they got right down to business. He weighed his usual 90 pounds and had no hight temperature, but was breathing hard and would not move. Our vet examined him and said he was in a very grave state. His gums and tongue were fading in color so much so that she called the emergency vet and alerted them to our impending arrival. We took him there and they too, were on the ball. They did an ultrasound and it confirmed our vet's suspicions. He passed away before the ultrasound was even complete. These tumors grow very rapidly and 9 times out of 10 they are cancerous. We never had the first clue. Our hearts are broken, and we miss him terribly, but if this at least helps raise awareness, then our Ace's loss was not all in vain. We believe that even the most simple things can be made to be enjoyable and unforgettable. German Shepherds are great family dogs or dogs for a couple like us. I have discouraged many people from taking this puppy because they liked the color of the puppy a lot — and who can blame them? Ritzy needs a quieter home with or without children if children present they would need to be very gentle, quieter, kids. Another, sweet. There are too many things going on here and too many dogs for to focus on instead of people so being in a less chaotic environment should help us unlock the needs and interests of this very beautiful and sweet dog. So — Ritzy is not for sale at this time but I will keep her up here until she is sold. They will make wonderful low-key and undemanding companions to any family wanting a less-active, quiet and easy family dog. Kids, especially quieter kids, will be just fine. All of these puppies present as being very tolerant and toddler-friendly. They have all turned 8 weeks-old on August 1st. Maturing up to 70 pounds or so for the largest puppies, these are big, sturdy companions that will be easy to live with and train because of their super-chill personalities.
