Then they are surprised and frustrated when they see the dog eliminate immediately after bringing it inside. What it comes to puppies, distraction is everywhere. When a dog is crate trained, I usually suggest placing the dog inside of the kennel and waiting 15 to 45 minutes before letting the puppy back out to the eliminate area to give them a chance to do their business again. The last time I potty trained a puppy mill dog, I found that I had the greatest success by taking the dog outside once an hour to go potty, then rewarding him richly when he did. By repeatedly returning to the area that the puppy pads are located in, we increase the odds of the dog eliminating in the right place. I also suggested that they leave one lump of fresh Apollo poop on the puppy pad in the bathroom. Sometimes leaving this visual and olfactory reminder in the designated location can help remind a dog of the need to eliminate. Our sires and dams have to pass their full panel breed specific genetic health testing before being bred. All vaccines on parents are administered by our vet. Having healthy parents is the first step to breeding healthy pups. From the time dam is bred, she is put immediately on puppy food to get the litter off to the proper nutrition. Dam and pups are watched over throughout the whole birthing process. Pups are given supplements as soon as they would like. This helps the dam with feeding while giving the pups food to help them continue growing properly. Pups are dewormed on a regular schedule and vaccinated before leaving. Montana Mist Goose "Goose" Goose is our 7 yr old male. He is medium sized at 72 pounds but thinks he is a lap dog. He is the most loyal companion I have ever had.
