We also believe microchipping your puppy should be your choice, so we do not microchip our puppies but strongly recommend you do. Any breeding of the Bernedoodle, whether by accident or on purpose, is a violation of the contract and will incur an immediate fee of 3x the purchase price. By instituting any step in the process, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms and to paying the contract violation fee in full. Bernedoodles are also sold with a list of both requirements and suggestions for the health, safety, well-being, and longevity of the dog. Customers must take these requirements, suggestions, and financial investments under consideration prior to purchasing a KC Bernedoodles puppy. Reservation Deposit Serious inquiries only. Anyone can be added to the Waiting List with a completed deposit, but KC Bernedoodles reserves the right to the first pick of all litters. Puppy reservations are made in order of cleared deposit. Keep in mind that this means if you send a check by mail, another family could move ahead in line if they pay electronically. We will make every effort to help you make the best decision for your needs. The customer further agrees that they have no recourse. Once the customer has decided they want to purchase a puppy, they must email us stating so. Customers must remit the deposit amount in either cash, check, or through digital deposit. We will provide the account information for the deposit. Cleared deposits are the only way to reserve a puppy; no cleared deposit means no puppy reservation. Deposits are nonrefundable. By instituting any step in the process, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these terms. Deposits are considered a commitment, and we understand that the puppy will have a home with your family. Final payment for the balance owed must be cleared before pickup. Unfortunately, we do not accept checks at the time of pick up for the final payment on a puppy because all payments must be cleared. Any daily boarding charges must also be settled prior to pick up. The only time a refund will be given is if KC Bernedoodles cancels the purchase due to unforeseen circumstances, otherwise deposits are always non-refundable. Puppy Selection Anyone can be added to the Waiting List with a completed deposit, but KC Bernedoodles reserves the right to the first pick of all litters. When the puppies are born, they are given a color-coded collar. Puppies are discussed by their collar color, though our kids have a tendency to name them as well. Exact puppy choice happens by video interactions, exchanging photos, or through phone conversations at week six so their personality has time to develop. We will make every effort to help you make the best decision for your individual needs. For the health of the puppies, we do not allow visitors. Exact puppy choice begins on week six. Waiting this long allows us to get to know their personalities and help guide you to make the best choice. Choosing a puppy occurs in waiting list order. To facilitate all families making timely decisions, each customer has 2 hours from when we contact you beginning on week six to choose your puppy. We make every effort to lead you through the process of choosing the best companion for your individual needs and lifestyle, so please let us know your situation and preferences. Failure to choose within that 2 hours forfeits your turn, and you will move to the end of the line. The key is to let the puppy have the time it needs with its mother and siblings, and transition the puppy to its new family as soon as it is properly able, in order to bond with them early and well. This usually happens at around 8 weeks. By pick up time your puppy will not be dependent upon its mother since it will have been weaned starting around week 4. For the health of our family and animals, we cannot take back a puppy once it has left our home, but we can help you find a new home for them. Please contact us first if the need arises to rehome your puppy. Pick up must occur in person. We currently do not ship puppies, but let us know if you have an extenuating circumstance that needs to be addressed. We love discussing our puppies but we are not a pet store, so we do not ever allow visitors. Puppies can readily catch deadly diseases, such as Parvo, kennel cough, distemper, and many others, which are easily spread from one kennel to another or one dog to another. From very early on we begin looking for the characteristics and personality traits in our puppies that are best for each family that has placed a deposit. How does the waiting list work? Through the temperament assessment and your answers to a questionnaire regarding the kind of temperament you are looking for, the puppies will be allocated at 8 weeks of age. What will my puppy come to me with? We also have a trainer that does a training session at pick up. We have group pick up sessions. When will I be able to choose a puppy? You will choose a puppy in the order deposits were placed on the deposit list. Do you guarantee the health of your puppies? Are they all allergy friendly? Those who have previously purchased puppies from us and have an allergy to dander have found a higher tolerance to the labradoodle breed because it is low to non-shedding and dander free. We might be able to take the puppy back pending available space but no refund will be offered. Remember, our puppies are never to be placed in shelter or rescue organization!!! Please consider all of this prior to purchasing a puppy — it is a lifetime commitment! They tend to have more of the lab features with wispy-wavy hair. Their coat is maintenance free other than an occasionally brushing. They have low to moderate shedding which varies from puppy to puppy. F2 doodles are the puppies of an F1 doodle bred to an F1 doodle. Some F2 puppies in a litter will receive more retriever genes than poodle genes from their parents, others more poodle genes than retriever genes, and some with equal retriever and poodle genes like their parents. Thus you have only a few puppies that resemble their parents and most that resemble a retriever or a poodle. They are non shedding and more hypoallergenic than the F1. Their coat is very wavy to curly like that of a poodle. They do require more brushing and grooming to maintenance their curlier coat. Australian labradoodles are the puppies of an F1B, or greater, bred to an Australian labradoodle. They are non-shedding like the F1B and do require more frequent brushing and grooming depending no how long you prefer to keep their coat. Do you do any health testing of the parents? Will my puppy be vaccinated and dewormed? Your puppy will be dewormed at 3, 5, and 7 weeks of age and every two week thereafter until they have left our home. We can have our vet do the surgery prior to it leaving or you can have it done at your vet by 7 months of age. That company, SpaySecure, will send you monthly reminders via email and text. You will submit proof via receipt and a signed document from your vet verifying they fixed your dog. Does a male or female make a better pet? Males and females are equally great pets. Many people have various reasons for preferring one sex over the other, most of which are stereotypical. Both males and females are affectionate, playful, intelligent, trainable, and loyal. A neutered male does not have the tendencies of a non-neutered male such as running off to look for females in heat, humping, aggressive toward other male dogs, etc. Spayed females do not have a heat cycle so you do not have to deal with bothersome bleeding during their cycle. Spaying and neutering prevents breast, uterine, and ovarian cancers in females and testicular and prostate related cancers in males. Do you begin potty training the puppies before they are placed? They do not like to potty in their area. They quickly learn to use the designated potty area. They potty on wood pellets. We send you home with a baggy of wood pellets to make the transition easier and familiar for them. Right after the puppy has finished pottying praise it so it knows that what is has done is good. Small treats are always good too! Frequent potty breaks prevent accidents and build the habit of going outside to potty. Never leave the puppy unsupervised during a potty break! Never leave a puppy unsupervised to roam around your home, this is just asking for accidents! Be patient and be consistent! This must be a safe and welcoming place for the puppy with a blanket or towel for sleeping. Puppies learn quickly to not potty in their sleep area and will hold it as long as possible to avoid dirtying their area. You can expect your puppy to hold its potty 1 hr for every month old it is so an 8 week old puppy should be able to hold their potty for 2 hours around months when the puppy bladder has expanded it will be able to hold its potty significantly longer. Never use the crate for punishment! The puppy should never fear going to its crate — it should be a happy, relaxing, comforting place. All dogs like a little downtime and their crate can be a great place for them to sleep and have some personal space. Find the perfect dog crate for your needs. Dog crates at discount and wholesale prices. Our Australian Labradoodles and Goldendoodles are miniature and medium size puppies. What is the lifespan of a doodle? Please consider this when committing to the labradoodle breed! What kind of training do labradoodles need? Labradoodles are highly intelligent and easily trainable, especially at an early age. Simple commands like sit, stay, come, down, speak, etc are commands you can begin teaching your puppy at weeks of age. There are basic training classes available that provide helpful tips for new owners and successful training methods for training your puppy. It is important for you, the trainer, to be patient with your puppy so it will trust you. Do not punish the puppy for not reacting correctly to a command — this will negatively affect the training process and breakdown the bond between puppy and master. It is also important to remember puppies are very curious and have short attention spans so keep the lesson relatively short. Do you sell labradoodles with breeding rights? Our dogs are part of our family and raised in our home and we would expect the same from another breeder that chose to breed one of our puppies. Breeding pups are sold under a breeder contract and are priced accordingly. What will happen if I cannot keep my dog? If for some reason and issue arises and you are no longer able to keep your puppy we will help you to rehome find it a suitable, new home it. We will still place an ad on our website so prospective lookers will see it. We do this because we like to keep in contact with our puppies and their owners to hear about their silly puppy antics and the joy they bring to their lives as well as providing lifetime support. Make sure you carefully screen the family and know that they will love and care for the puppy as much as you! We never want one of our puppies to end up in a shelter!

Puppies are kept separate from their mother to ensure they are not laid on nor neglected. Your English Bulldog Baby at this age, most often do not have their eyes open yet. Instead they rely on their sense of hearing to know where their mom is and the other littermates. Week 3 The third week of life is a big week as major, physical development and progress are made during this week. The baby bulldogs should begin cracking their eyes open and begin developing their new found eyesight. Increased visibility adds a small level of independence that is certainly appreciate. The young puppies are now able to locate their mother and nurse more consistently on their own. During this week, we most often make the decision to leave the litter with their mother permanently. Mom will take on the responsibility of not only nursing the puppies but also cleaning up after them. This also means we are able to get a full night of sleep! What do we look for in a good Bulldog mother? Bulldog mom has to have a genetically clean pedigree history. We make sure each bulldog line that we produce has the best chance to stay healthy and happy. Bulldog mom has to have a great personality. We demand that all the bulldogs we own are extremely confident and great with both children and other pets. Breeding bulldogs with great personalities is very important as many social traits are passed from the parents to the baby. Bulldog mom has to have a great maternal instinct. Because the babies are so vulnerable we try to select and keep female English Bulldogs that show endearing and caring traits towards their babies. Week 4 Week four is our walking week! While bulldog puppies do begin to walk earlier at times, typically during week four we begin to see some major walking. The new found mobility is a joy to watch but does present some different types of responsibility as our bulldog puppies certainly can get themselves into trouble! During this week, we will start to perform some basic socialization steps to ensure that they are prepared for their new homes. Week 5 The puppies are now able to run, chew, and yes, sometimes bite! With the physical progress there are certainly ample teaching opportunities to develop these little guys into well behaving bulldogs. During this time we continue to analyze each puppy socially and develop unique, social profiles of each bully. The puppies start to focus less on physical survival and devote much of their time to playing with their littermates. This is a great learning environment for the puppies! This mushy treat quickly becomes a favorite for the pups. A robust bulldog puppy can now weigh around 5 pounds. The puppies will also undergo their first round of vet checks to ensure they are developing physically sound bodies. Socially, we continue work with the puppies to ensure they are exposed to the many different environments of the new homes they will be going to all while balancing a high level of biosecurity to ensure they are not exposed to harmful diseases to ensure for a healthy English Bulldog! The puppies are now old enough and confident enough in themselves to begin developing expectations. Being held and being fed are no longer special occasions rather they are rights to life that are demanded. We continue to provide the high level of care that we hold ourselves to while developing flexibility within each bulldog pup. Week 8 The theme for week 8 is adoption preparation. We will make a decision with our vet the age in which the bulldogs are able to be taken home. The primary variable within this decision is physical development. Most of our bulldogs will go home right around the end of week 9 all the way to week .It simply depends on the bulldog. At this point we encourage our adopters to finish prepping for their puppy. Reasons a English Bulldog puppy might die early on are usually due to difficult whelping, congenital or genetic defects, environmental factors i. Things to have handy in case of an emergency: a box of Amoxi-Drops anti-diarrhea medication like Biosol, Kaolin-Pectin, or Neo-Pectilin thermometer Karo syrup or honey tube feeding kit 10 feeding tube and 10cc feeding syringe several cans of puppy formula like Esbilac; however, it is very important that a English Bulldog puppy get its mother's milk if at all possible during the first 5 days to protect it from infection and give it antibodies from the mother's milk You can purchase pre-made formula from your vet and outside of the mother's milk, it is best. However, the following formula is cheaper and provides all the nutrition. It's been used by many people and gives good results: l can Carnation evaporated milk some prefer canned goat's milk. Many use it instead of evaporated milk - both can be found in the bakery section of your grocery store. If this seems to be, change to bottled water to make the formula. Keeping the litter box tempature between degrees with no drafts for the first few days is usually adequate. Other sources of warmth can be heating pads or heat lamps. If using a heating pad, monitor the intensity of heat, as pups have been known to cook on pads set on high settings! There are many excellent heat lamps on the market, but remember that caution is needed. Heat lamps have been known to start fires! The temperature on the English Bulldog puppies 1 inch above the bottom of the box should be about degrees with a corner that is slightly cooler and allow them to scoot to wherever they like best. There should also be plenty of clean blankets, as this will allow for regulation of temperature. If a English Bulldog puppy has its mouth open, it's too hot. If a English Bulldog puppy is too cool, it often won't show anything - but it can be deadly. Hydration is one of the most important things to monitor in new bulldog pups, as it can be one of the first signs of problems. Check hydration by by pinching the skin on the back of the neck or on the top of the back. If the pinched skin stays creased, the English Bulldog puppy is dehydrated and needs fluid replacement. Also, a dehydrated bulldog pup's coat will sometimes have a ruffled or scruffy appearance. Dehydration can either be a result of inadequate nourishment, too much heat, or sickness. It is strongly suggested that you use regular newborn or infant bottles and nipples. The ones available for purchase for cats, dogs, ferrets, etc. Bottle feeding is far more preferable. The sucking on a nipple, the handling and holding of the English Bulldog puppy is so very important to their overall development. The English Bulldog puppy should be held with his head upwards and his body and tail down in a 45 to 90 degreee angle when bottle feeding. If English Bulldog puppies and their blankets are not kept clean, it is very easy to come down with a staph infection and diarrhea - which is serious, as bulldog puppies can go downhill quickly. As mentioned before, it is equally serious if the English Bulldog puppies get chilled so avoid drafts. Even if you have them in a basket with a heating pad, you need to cover the basket with a towel to keep out drafts. A chilled English Bulldog puppy must be warmed up. Put it in a pocket so that it's warm and jiggled as you walk around, or if you are a woman put it in your bra for your body heat. There are lots of little ways to accomplish it. Don't worry about feeding formula to a chilled English Bulldog puppy because it will have the opposite effect: their body cannot handle the food and makes it all the worse for the English Bulldog puppy. Priority should be to get the bulldog puppy warmed up slowly. Newborn English Bulldog puppies cannot regulate their body temperature or body functions like urinating and stools.
