I am about 2 years old and I love follow my foster mum around. She tells me I am her shadow. My foster potty trained me in a day and she said I am very very smart and I have to agree with that. I also learned new commands like sit, down, and off. We are working on the stay but I have a hard time sitting still because I have lots to keep an eye on inside. She walks me always on her right side and I became very well behaved in our leash walking training. I do like to be right by my foster brother Logan, so sometimes I will pull to be with him. I have an another foster brother and he is smaller and furry and he meows for food all the time when he is not sleeping. I love him and he give me sand kisses. We went to a coffee shop other day and all these people want to pet me and take pics of me. I felt like a movie star! On the walks I get overly excited when I see other dogs and I am very vocal about it. Sometimes the dogs get scared of me, but I assure you, I am awesome and not aggressive at all. I just want to say hi to ALL the dogs! But I warm up to everyone very quickly. I am getting a lot of love and attention right now and it will be ideal for me to not be left alone for too long. Thank you for considering rescue. Before we begin, please know that the majority of our adoptable animals never make it to our website as our adoption coordinators are working behind the scenes with our approved adopters. Therefore, the website does not reflect ALL the animals we have in our care that are available for adoption. Our placement process is very fluid and availability can change quickly. After you submit your application, you will hear back within 72 hours from a member of our adoption team. We are a volunteer-based organization and appreciate your patience. In the interim, do not fret, applications are processed in the order they are received. You have not lost your place in the queue. If multiple applications were submitted for the same dog or puppy, the first application in is the first application to be considered for that pup. When you adopt you save 2 lives! We look forward to welcoming you into the Sweet Paws Rescue family. We are 5-month-old Standard Poodles weighing about lbs. While I love to play with my foster siblings, I really just want calm space to hang out with my humans and other fur friends. I wake and jump into bed to give my foster parents good morning snuggles! I enjoy a light morning snack and spend the rest of the day napping and hanging out with the humans while they work. After work, all bets are off, and I make sure to get all the puppy zoomies out. My leash training is going well, but I often try to chase the leaves and get distracted by unfamiliar sights and smells. I love to go outside to play, chew on a stick or take a walk. I also enjoy down time with humans to cuddle and get lots of belly rubs. I start my day at am, go potty, then breakfast. After I like going outside to chase squirrels and play. I then have dinner around pm and in my crate by 10pm for bed. I love learning tricks and am very food motivated! I also like to try and outsmart my foster parents when they hide my treats or sticks, I bring inside. I am very curious and love to explore, play, eat, and cuddle. Now that I am older, I can make it through the night without any potty accidents but I need to go outside as soon as I am up, usually around 7am. I eat breakfast then it's right back outside for my next potty break! I like to have a chew bone and play for a while, then naps. I like to sit on the couch next to my foster mom, or lay on my back sprawled out on the floor. I love going for walks and am learning to not pull. I bark a little at other dogs but I am very dog and people friendly. Nights are pretty low key, I may play a little before bed time, where I prefer to sleep next to my foster parent's bed. I love to cuddle if you'll allow me up too! Since I am still a puppy, I need reinforcements with potty training, proper leash walking, and learning what and what not to chew on. I am just a super sweet girl and can't wait to share my love with you!

Similar to the Bernese nature, the Bernedoodles can be lazy but with the addition of the Poodle, it adds a bit more energy and agility. The breed has a long list of good attributes; Strong, agile, highly intelligent, the gentle demeanor and stunning appearance with their TRI colored flashy fluffy coat makes them loved by many. Temperament By nature, Bernedoodles are true lovers of the family and friends. They are generally very sweet and tolerant and gentle giants with some bursts of exuberant play. But reminded not to jump on children or furniture. The breed will do everything with their family from hiking, boating, swimming and it absolutely thrives on the companionship of their family, so when left alone, they tend to get their feelings hurt. It is important to work on training at an early age, adopt crate training for short periods of time and building up so they know they can expect you back. For the most part, their temperaments are rock solid huge lap babies that just want to be near you. They are soft-hearted, so usually, just your stern voice will be effective. Care The Bernedoodle does require maintenance care. They will require twice a week comb and brushing. Bathing every 2 to 3 weeks. Full groom and clipping required during hot weather needed every 6 to 8 weeks. Exercise is very important to this breed to grow the smallest rate possible on a lower protein food because if the joints grow too quickly this can cause loose hip joints later on. Also, obesity is a major cause of hip dysplasia. So stay active and feed lean, do not overfeed or give people food. Coat This is not an easy keeper, they do require professional grooming care. Even in the winter, the Bernedoodle will still need their feet, potty trail and face trimmed. Ear hairs must be kept pulled to keep the ear canal clean and airy to avoid infections. Nails clipped every 2 weeks. With a thick black coat, it would be hard to be outside all day in 95 temps, so heat intolerance can be an issue. Training Training comes fairly easy for most Bernedoodles. Early socialization is key as well as basic obedience classes. Some require a firm approach while some do best with a calm voice and gentle approach. Being smart comes easy to the breed and they can figure out tasks on their own but sometimes this can cause them to also have a mischievous streak and get bored easily. So keep them busy with chew treats and toys and frequent walks to the park or hike and swim at the lake. Activity Bernedoodles love to fetch and swim and play ball or even pull a cart. Most love the water and hiking and boating. Being mostly black, they can get overheated, so make sure to stay in the shade and always carry a dog water bowl with you and limit their time outside when it's extremely hot. Appropriate exercising as they grow is very key to keeping the joints healthy and growth plates normal.

With that said, adding a drizzle of warm low-salt chicken or beef broth can make a meal a bit more tempting. Alternatively, serving the entire meal warmed up can make it more appealing. At a healthy, adult weight, you will be able to feel the ribs, but not clearly see them. With good food and care, that will be maintained until the senior years at which time there will be a gradual muscle loss which makes a Boxer's body look less well-defined and a just a bit softer. The recommendations in this article apply to Australian Labradoodles as well. Click here to get an instant, online pet insurance quote from Healthy Paws! A female vs male Labradoodle will have very similar coats and grooming needs, with the only big difference coming from what Labradoodle generation your dog is. It is however, important to keep in mind that both Labs and Poodles have significant grooming needs, so your Labradoodle will need to be regularly brushed and groomed. Doing this will help prevent matting and keep your dog healthy. If you opt for a smaller version of the breed, like a Toy or Mini Labradoodle, it will be harder to see the size difference between the genders because of their already small size. However, the difference in stature will likely be more noticeable in the Standard Labradoodle size. If you are certain you want a larger dog, it might be best to opt for a male Labradoodle, whereas if you prefer a smaller dog, a female Labradoodle might work better for your needs. Female and Male Labradoodle Behavioral Differences Every Labradoodle is going to end up with its own unique personality. These are humping and the marking of territory. While we typically consider humping to be sexual, it is often used by both male and female Labradoodles during play or to assert dominance. Spaying and neutering can help some of the sexually driven instances of humping, but in general it is simply a behavior that can be trained out of dogs of either gender. Labradoodle Territory Marking When you think of territory marking, it is common to associate males with this behavior. Males will usually lift their leg while females prefer to squat. Male vs Female Labradoodle Personality Differences One of the most common misconceptions about a male Labradoodle vs female Labradoodle is that males are more aggressive where as females are gentler and most submissive. You could easily find a female Labradoodle that has a sassier and more independent side than her male littermates, or a male who is friendly and especially gentle. Each puppy, whether a male vs female Labradoodle, is going have their own innate personality, which, with a lot of love and training can complement any family. So, should you get a female or male Labradoodle? More About Labradoodles…. Gender Differences of the Labradoodle In each litter there are various personalities present. We work with the puppies weeks to identify each individual personality, foster development and place the puppy with the right family. We follow a guide dog assessment test to follow the puppies personalities, build confidence where needed and work with them. Families are always asking about an Alpha that they want one or don't want one. If the breeder is working with the puppies daily and mom is involved there is rarely an alpha in this breed. Well, to be honest, each hour there is one puppy that might think it is control of the others, but shortly that one is knocked down by another and control shifts throughout the entire litter constantly through out the day. Some puppies like to be in control more than others, if that is the case, we recommend that puppy does not go to a house with another adult dog or cat that is an alpha in the house. Alpha's typically develop once home as families do not take control as much as they may need. Two dominant personalities just as humans typically "work" it out, but it is a major stress on the people in the family for a week or so. So, is the dominant labradoodle puppy typically a male or female? This is always breed specific and in this breed the more dominant personalities tend to be the girls. Gender Neutral What is the difference between a male and female labradoodle? I find gender to be almost neutral. Of course, this assumes the dogs are spayed or neutered at an early age 8 to 24 weeks. If I had to make a general statement I would say neutered Australian Labradoodles boys are a bit more easy going natured and up for anything then the spayed females who are, although just as wonderful, a bit more specific in their nature. If the male is not neutered early and its testicles drop, it typically becomes a dog that will have more of a mind of its own. This instinct tends to overpower the family member calling the dog to come; it will come but hesitates or plays that come and get me game. We recommend strongly that males be neutered early, as early as 8 to 16 weeks. Neutering removes the possibility of the male ever entering its time of confrontation, asserting its manliness and results it a great, loving, listening dog. The neutered male dog also seems to have less separation anxiety than a female and be more open to new experiences. Two Males? Two neutered males in the same household in this breed will typically get along famously. We highly recommend two males IF you are looking to add a second Labradoodle to your home. However, some females tend to be the opposite of the alpha. We again identify this trait and work on socializing and building confidence as much as possible with positive new experiences. However, this dog can sometimes become the dog that pees when a new experience occurs, excited urination. This requires some work for the family and tends to have the family do the opposite than what is required, they keep the dog away from new experiences than just bite the bullet and taking them everywhere for a safe fun new experience. Two Females? Two spayed females in the same household in this breed will not do as well as two males or a male and female. We highly recommend two males or a male and female IF you are looking to add a second Labradoodle to your home. Now this does NOT mean that two females will be an issue, just that it might be more difficult. You as the leader will have to make sure that during the first few months the girls know that dominant behavior stealing toys, hording food is NOT acceptable in the home. You can do it and help two girls get along exceptionally, just put in the effort. A girl in this breed tends to enjoy being the one on top of the pecking order, let them know, you are the leader. So, my advice, choose a dog gender that suits your family profile, talk to the breeder as to other pets you have in the house, family activities, what training you will do, and what experience you want the dog to participate. I would make a different recommendation to the retired owner that wants a pet to hang out in the house, versus the agility training, outgoing boating dog. If the gender matches the traits available in the litter great, if it does not have an open mind. Make the decision by asking the breeder what puppies in the litter they recommend for your family needs and selecting from those. If three puppies suit the bill then look at gender preference, color and physical traits. To me, personality fit should be the number one priority. Labradoodles and Australian Labradoodle dogs and puppies. Are there major differences you should be aware of before choosing, or can you just choose based on color and personality preferences? Male Vs Female Labradoodle You might have heard that male Labradoodles or male dogs in general are more aggressive and harder to train. You might also have heard that female dogs get moody or territorial. Dog owners say that personality is different between the two genders and that male dogs are more loving, but female dogs run away less. In reality, none of that is true! The differences between male and female Labradoodles are mostly in their physical makeup and ability to bear or sire children. These cycles will continue until they hit menopause. Because females hit sexual maturity faster than males, they tend to be mellower and more obedient early on. During their hormonal cycles, you will have to monitor them closely for bleeding, disobedience, and running away to mate. Temperament The difference in temperament is due to hormones. However, before a dog is neutered or spayed, there are some differences between the genders. Male dogs tend to be more loving and affectionate, but rowdier. However, female dogs can be more aggressive and territorial when left unfixed. This is due to their mothering instincts. Female Labradoodles like being the mother of the pack, and often are more possessive of other dogs, owners, or children in the house. At that point, their hormones will relax. Two Labradoodles sniff eachother out at a dog park. Size There is a negligible difference in size between male and female Labradoodles. The biggest physical difference between male and female Labradoodles is that females tend to have a slightly slimmer build. However, both males and females are in the same weight range pounds for a regular labradoodle , so the difference is small. Obedience and Ease of Training How obedient your dog depends more on the training regimen you put it through than its gender. Your atmosphere and raising of the dog will mold its temperament into whatever dog you want it to be. However, an unfixed dog will pose different problems for training. Because their bodies mature faster, their brains have an easier time training. Females are generally pretty obedient after proper training. However, it still can be done. A different training technique is necessary for unfixed male Labradoodles, but they can become obedient and loyal dogs. This rich black coat is a fairly common Labradoodle shade. Health Issues Male and female Labradoodles have about the same risk of health issues. The main health problems that Labradoodles face are poor breeding, overbreeding, or bad genetics. Preventing issues with proper screening of the breeder dogs is the best choice. Unfixed dogs, however, are both at a higher risk of illness than fixed dogs. Both male and female dogs have a higher risk of cancer testicular or prostate for male dogs and cervical for females. Factors Other Than Gender The differences between male and female fixed Labradoodles are relatively small. Before you pick out a puppy to take home, check into these factors. Breeders also watch out for calm and obedient temperaments in their breeder dogs. It makes a difference for you as you start to train a new dog. The only way to tell how a dog will mesh with your family is to interact with the puppy! A Red Miniature Labradoodle looks happy in the studio. Fixing There are few noticeable differences between the two genders of fixed dogs. In most circumstances, veterinarians recommend fixing your dog. Many breeders spay or neuter pets before adoption. Labradoodles are great dogs for families with or without children. Whether you have a fixed dog or not, a well-trained labradoodle will make an amazing pet for your family. However, a dog is only as healthy as its family and environment. There are many differences from one labradoodle to the next, depending on factors such as size and gender. Read on to learn more about the differences between genders in labradoodles and make a well-informed decision about your next pet. Size Difference Between Male and Female Labradoodles As in the case in the majority of dog breeds, male labradoodles tend to be larger than females, though the size difference is much less pronounced in mini-labradoodle breeds. The size of your labradoodle puppy will depend on its genetics as well as its age. Labradoodles are the product of breeding a Labrador with a poodle of standard, medium, or teacup size. There are many varieties of both species, from differing colors, fur patterns, tendency to shed, temperament, and size. Smaller labradoodles tend to be around the same size regardless of gender. The males tend to outweigh female labradoodles, with a more dramatic difference in larger breeds. Standard male dogs tend to outweigh their female counterparts by 10 to 15 pounds. Here are the average sizes of different types of labradoodles: Standard labradoodle males weigh around pounds, and females weigh an average of pounds A medium labradoodle can weigh pounds Mini-labradoodles average 15 to 25 pounds, with female dogs being slightly smaller Male vs. Male and female dogs have very similar hair and grooming requirements, with the big differences being based on how old the labradoodles are. Poodles and labradoodles require grooming to keep their coats soft, shiny and free of debris. Because the hair of the male and female labradoodle tends to be coarse and curly, you might notice they easily pick up burrs and small leaves when playing outside. These brushes are perfect if your male or female labradoodle inherited its locks from the Labrador side of the family and has smooth, silky fur, also known as a fleece coat. For example, curlier hair tends to shed far less. This might make life easier for people who have friends or family with dog allergies. However, this fur is much coarser and tangles fast, meaning brushing is more of a chore and needs to be done more often. Wool-coat labradoodles can be combed easier with a metal pick comb or pin brush than with a bristle brush. Male Dogs vs. An unspayed female labradoodle is also at higher risk for diseases like breast cancer. Adequate veterinary care can help you catch potential issues early, ensuring a long, comfortable life for your furry friend. Male vs. Female Dog: Labradoodle Temperament Some breeders say male labradoodles are more affectionate than females tend to be, and others claim the opposite. The truth is that male and female labradoodles are both incredibly sweet and active breeds. Personality differences will become evident as they grow older, but in general there is not much of a difference between female and male dogs. There are, however, certain characteristics that may be more inherently pronounced in male dogs. Some studies show that male dogs tend to score higher in areas such as dominance and aggression. Male vs Female Labradoodle — Aggression Differences Most people assume male labradoodles are more aggressive than females and female labradoodles are gentler and more submissive. Each puppy has its own unique personality that, after much love and learning, complements its family. Trainability is another area where gender plays little role. The labradoodle personality is a hybrid of the Labrador retriever and the poodle, both of which are highly intelligent breeds. Labradors are also very smart — the seventh-smartest breed, in fact, though their qualities of strength and sheer charm are more highlighted. As a hybrid of the two, you can expect your labradoodle puppy to be exceptionally clever and easy and fun! Unspayed female and unneutered male dogs are at risk for health issues such as: Cancer. After choosing to get a Labradoodle , your next step will be to choose the gender. However, male and female Labradoodles do have some specific differences between them. These dogs love people and prefer to be around their families as much as possible. Therefore, they do best in active families that can keep up with them. Temperament is heavily influenced by training and socialization. Some breeders and owners claim that male Labradoodles tend to be more affectionate. However, others say the opposite. There is no clear difference between male and female Labradoodles when it comes to their personality. Training Labradoodles are often very easy to train. Therefore, they pick up on commands quickly and are likely to follow those commands in real-world situations. They can even learn complex tasks when trained properly. Because these dogs are so intelligent, they do need lots of mental stimulation. Otherwise, they can become bored and destructive. Males may be a bit more stubborn than females. Males may be more prone to marking and humping behaviors if not neutered. Image Credit: Chedko, Shutterstock Health and Care Labradoodles are generally healthy dogs that can live up to 15 years with proper care. However, they may inherit some health issues from their parent breeds, such as hip dysplasia, eye problems, ear infections, allergies, and skin conditions. They also need regular grooming to keep their coats clean and healthy. Depending on their coat type, they may need brushing every day or every few days to prevent matting and tangles. They also need trimming every 6—8 weeks to maintain their appearance and hygiene. Male and female Labradoodles have similar health and care needs, but gender may affect some aspects of their well-being. For example, male Labradoodles may be more prone to prostate problems or testicular cancer if not neutered. Neutering your Labradoodle can prevent these issues and also reduce unwanted behaviors such as roaming, aggression, or marking. Males are not particularly less healthy than females, though. However, you can get a Labradoodle by crossing two Labradoodles together. Male Labradoodles do not carry the largest burden of breeding. Before we look at Labradoodles specifically, what do the experts say about sex differences between male and female dogs in general? The researchers found that male dogs tend to be more aggressive and bolder than females, while females are more likely to engage in social interactions with humans, especially if they involve cooperative skills. And this study which looked at both breed and sex differences in dog behavior found similar results. Male dogs across several breeds were more likely to show aggression, territoriality, barking, and snapping. Females were more likely to be trainable and affectionate. Observation has taught us that female dogs have a higher probability of being sociable, cooperative, trainable and affectionate. And other factors, like their breed and how well you socialize them will also play a significant role. Appearance Besides behavior, sex differences also influence size. Male dogs tend to be larger than female dogs from the same breed. This is called sexual dimorphism. Sexual dimorphism is especially noticeable in medium to large breed dogs. Small dog breeds show less sexual dimorphism. Labradoodles are medium to large dogs, but smaller Miniature Labradoodles are also gaining popularity. There are three distinct Poodle breeds that can go into the Labradoodle: Standard, Miniature, and Toy. Which size Poodle was used to create a Labradoodle litter will have a much bigger influence on the size of the puppies than their sex. According to the Poodle breed standard, male and female Standard Poodles stand over 15 inches tall at the shoulder. Males weigh between 60 and 70 pounds and females weigh between 40 and 50 pounds. Miniature Poodles stand between 10 and 15 inches tall and weigh between 10 and 15 pounds. What about the Labrador Retriever? The Labrador Retriever breed standard lists male height at between .Females are .Male Labrador weight ranges from 65 to 80 pounds and females weigh between 55 and 70 pounds. Sexual dimorphism comes into play with the Lab as it is a larger dog. Does this mean female Labradoodles are smaller than males? There are three sizes of Labradoodle: Standard bred from a Standard Poodle Miniature bred from a Miniature Poodle Medium natural outliers from one of the mating choices above, or perhaps the result of an F1b or F2 cross In all these categories, female dogs might be smaller than male dogs. It is very likely in standard Labradoodles. And progressively less likely in medium and miniature Labradoodles. Female Labradoodle Temperament Labradoodles have famously affectionate, playful, and gentle personalities. They are popular family pets and make excellent therapy dogs. Is this true, and are there any significant differences in male vs. Female Labradoodle personality If you are thinking about a female because you are concerned about male aggression, this is rarely an issue with Labradoodles. Anecdotally, some Labradoodle owners report that males are a little more rambunctious and vocal than females, especially when young. But they are just as friendly and loving. And some Labradoodle breeders believe that females tend to be more responsive, focused, and easier to train than males. This could be rooted in very old biological instincts — males of all kinds of species are more driven to roam restlessly over wide areas in search of mates. Both sexes are good with young children. Males may tend to view kids as playmates and females may be more protective, but these and other traits can vary among individual Labradoodles of both sexes. Such as becoming anxious or restless, and needing to pee more often. However, their is some evidence that spaying may increase mounting and humping behavior in female dogs. Female Labradoodle Health and Lifespan Are there are health differences between male and female Labradoodles? Sex specific health problems are more likely to occur in intact dogs. Unspayed females are more likely to develop breast cancer and pyometra, a potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus. But the most common Labradoodle health problems occur in both males and females. They include hip and elbow dysplasia, degenerative eye diseases, and neurological disorders. A reputable Labradoodle breeder will test all their dogs for the genetic health problems found in Labrador Retrievers and Poodles. Female Labradoodle Life Expectancy What about lifespan? Labradoodles tend to have long lifespans , generally 11 to 14 years. Size is a factor in longevity. Smaller Labradoodles tend to live longer than larger ones, like other dog breeds. When it comes to sex and lifespan, studies have shown that intact male dogs live longer than intact females, but spayed females have the longest lifespan of all categories. Some people also think they are more affectionate, and cooperative in training. Female Labradoodles also have specific health needs due to their sex. For example they will go into heat if unspayed, and owners need to be aware of conditions like pyometria. Do you have a female Labradoodle? Tell us why in the comments box down below! References and Further Reading. Testimonials Female Labradoodle Size A female Labradoodle's size tends to be slightly smaller than its male counterpart. Their frame is typically more petite, and not as muscular. Therefore, we consider gender when estimating adult weight. Size measurements are a great indication, but each pup is unique. If size is important to you, remember a male will likely grow to the top end of their size bracket. We will guide you once we understand your preferences and requirements. A small-medium female Labradoodle, for example, is comparable to a large-mini male labradoodle puppy. We can help you, based on our experience, decide which one suits your lifestyle better. Instead, we work to this unisex chart when working out and predicting height and weight. Male dogs tend to be stockier, so will often weigh slightly more than females as fully grown adults. Our Cobberdogs should remain roughly within these ranges. However, if your dog is overweight, gender doesn't matter. They can still develop conditions like diabetes. All dogs require proper portion sizes and exercise. Male vs Female Weight The average weight: Male Labradoodles tend to be on the upper range in terms of weight and height. They also have a bigger build. If you're looking for something more robust, this is perfect. Our biggest dog is Larry. He's over 25 inches to the shoulder, and a stunning red or ginger coat colour. Female Labradoodle Size: Often, females have a smaller frame and are lighter. Their build isn't as solid as males. We can't guarantee that your chosen puppy is going to be larger than its siblings. If sizing is important to you, then ask your breeder about the pedigree breeds used to create your new family member. Remember, our Australian Cobberdogs are not simply Labrador x Poodle hybrids, but a breed in development. As they are an infusion of up to eight pedigree breeds of varying sizes , we can accurately predict and control their height and weight. What about your Australian Labradoodle's height male? As we've stated, boys typically grow to the higher end of the spectrum. If you definitely want a small dog, we recommend choosing a female Labradoodle. Female Labradoodle Size: Often, females have a smaller frame. Are there any health differences between girls and boys? All our Australian Cobberdog parents are fully health tested. There does not appear to be any correlation between screening results based on gender comparisons. Once spayed or neutered, the gender-related potential problems are reduced, if not eliminated. In girls, this would be conditions like womb infections. In boys, prostate problems. Health Screening Are there availability differences between male and female dogs? Typically within a litter, there are even numbers of boys and girls. This is the same for all dog breeds. Do female Labradoodles cost more than males? Our female Labradoodles for sale cost the same as our males. Female dogs have a bigger impact on your grass than males. Because of the way they pee. Since female dogs squat, they target a single spot with a concentrated amount of urine. The compounding effect of which damages the grass. Male puppies do squat initially. However, as they mature, they tend to go toward the garden edges. They eventually lift their leg against a tree or something similar. This method disperses the urine across a broader area, damaging the grass at a much slower rate. The negative side to this, however, is it can damage small plants or scrubs. If they pick the same spot every time, you might have some unhappy flora. If you want your male dog to pick a specific spot and return to it to preserve your flowers, there are products available. A pee post, for example, provides a designated toilet area for your pet. If you want them away from specific plants in your garden, this can be a great tool to help you both. Pee Post In terms of size and urine, larger dogs do produce a larger volume. Since males are generally larger than females, this might make a difference to you. If you are more protective over your prize shrubs than your lawn, females might be a better option. You can combat the effects of urine on your grass with products like Dog Rocks. Simply put the dog rocks in your dog's water bowl. They reduce the amount of nitrate in your dog's urine, which helps preserve the grass for longer. These products are available from us on Adoption Day and we have a subscription service available if you wish to receive replacement rocks automatically without the need to remember to re-order. Confidence Protectiveness Husky Golden Retrievers are inclined to enjoy their alone time. They are not prone to having separation anxiety. However, it is not recommended to leave them alone for too long. You could find them trying to escape the house. Because of their nature, it is advisable to have this pet when you have a large backyard. This mixed puppy is known to be friendly and gentle to the family members. They usually get along with all the members and are affectionate to children too. They can be fans of cuddling. Golden Retriever Crossed with Husky puppies can be excellent watchdogs. With proper training and sufficient bonding with their owners, they are obedient and alert to suspicious people. They are quite protective of the family members when there is a threatening situation. Husky Mixed with Golden Retriever pups tends to have independent thinking. This trait comes from their Husky origin. At times, they may come off as obnoxious and act on their volition. They may be disobedient to your commands. When dealing with this behavior, it is crucial to remember that you need patience in caring for them. This mixed breed dog has a strong prey drive. They tend to chase smaller creatures. Be sure to keep an eye on other small animals such as cats and squirrels. Backyard Breeders Rescue Shelters Professional Breeders If you will spend money, I highly advise buying from professional breeders among these options. These people take good care of the dogs and prevent inbreeding to guarantee minimal health problems. Reliable breeders can provide you with results of genetic testing for the parent dogs and offspring, as well as records of vaccination and other pertinent documents. They also provide health clearances for the parent dogs. However, before buying from professional breeders, you can also consider visiting your local shelters to check if there is an available Golden Retriever Husky puppy and if you can adopt it. There are also rescue-centers that are breed-specific and non-profit. However, it is remarkable that the mixed breed of Golden Retriever and Husky do not shed much, and it is considered part of the low shedders. Aside from the aesthetic purpose of grooming, there are a lot more reasons to accomplish this activity. Developing a more intimate relationship Maintaining the cleanliness and physical health Bringing out the natural oil on the coat Avoid issues like bug infestations Checking anomalies and possible health problems Here is a list of the tools and equipment you will need for grooming this pup: Slicker Brush Cotton Ball Nail Clipper A regular grooming routine is essential in keeping the shiny and healthy coat of your Husky Golden Retriever Mix puppy. A fundamental step in the grooming routine is regular brushing using a slicker brush. Other steps include giving a bath, trimming the nails, and cleaning its ears. The use of a slicker brush over a pin brush is advisable due to its purpose of untangling mats or knots in the fur. Also, it helps in removing debris and loose hair. It can run through the thick layers of the double coat and facilitate effective grooming. Another advantage of this brush is its massaging quality since it has long pins. Massaging the skin of your pup will stimulate the production of essential oils for moisturizing the coat. Also, this will increase the blood circulation and promote health for the dog. This activity should be done at least once a week to decrease the amount of shedding and avoid matting of fur. In brushing the whole coat, you need to brush places of matting and thicker fur more diligently. If your dog has a collar, remove it when brushing the coat, and do not leave out the neck area unkempt. Cutting matted fur should only be done when you cannot brush out the mat. The next step is bathing your pup, especially when it is smelly and dirty. Some people proceed to trim the coat of the puppy before bathing it. It is your discretion if you will follow the steps to the dot. After lathering with shampoo and then rinsing the coat, you can opt to blow-dry the coat. The frequency of bathing will also depend on your decision, based on the smell and sanitary condition of the Golden Retriever Crossed with Husky puppy. After the bath, you will proceed to brush the coat again. Then, you will initiate the trimming process. In trimming, you should avoid trimming the entire coat. The double coat of your puppy functions as an insulation against the fluctuating weather. It also traps warm air on a cold day and cool air on a hot day. Usually, groomers use clippers for this process. However, you may opt to use thinning shears for cutting parts of the coat. You need to trim the fuzzy hair growth around the edges cleanly. You will trim the fur between the toes next. For cracked dog pads, you can apply Vaseline as a regimen. In trimming the legs, you will cut the unkempt fur to achieve symmetry and balance. The fur on the front of the legs is shorter than that on the back. The hair on the back of the legs should flare out slightly behind the dog. Similar with the legs, trimming the chest and neck should aim to remove the unkempt fur. It should be noted that you will move the thinning shears with the direction of hair growth. After the neck and chest areas, you will trim the fur around the ears. This step will help fend off parasites. Lastly, you will trim the tail. For this step, you will trim the length by tapering the tail, starting from the base to the tip. Part of the grooming process is checking for wax buildup in the ears and signs of an ear infection. You can clean their ears with a cotton ball and a dog-specific ear solution. You should never use a cotton swab for their ears. You can also use a cotton ball with mineral oil or microfiber cloth with mineral oil to remove debris from the eyes. The frequency of this activity depends on the rate of its toenail growth. Long names may break, and cause irregular gait and infection. If you do not have this much time in your hands, you should schedule appointments with trustworthy groomers around your neighborhood. Husky Mixed with Golden Retriever Puppies Health Problems Most of the Husky mixed with Golden Retriever dogs are free of fatal and congenital diseases, primarily because of their enlarged gene pool. Their average life span is 10 to 13 years. One condition you need to prevent is heat stroke. Since this breed has a dense and double coat, they do not tolerate heat as much as they tolerate cold weather. You should protect your puppy from overexposure to the sun and keep it well hydrated. Even if there is a reduced risk for the usual health conditions from the parent breeds, it is important to know the possible diseases your puppy may acquire, especially when it gets older. One these health problems is a cataract, an opacity of the eye lens. When your dog acquires this disease, its eyes will appear cloudy. One of the possible health problems is hip or elbow dysplasia. This is an inheritable disease wherein the thighbone does not attach properly with the hip joint. Elbow dysplasia involves joint laxity due to different growth rates of the bones of the elbow. Vaccinations are weapons against fatal diseases. There is a generally accepted guideline of puppy vaccination. Some of the recommended vaccinations are measles, rabies, and DHPP which is the combination of vaccines for distemper, adenovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. By knowing the possible serious health issues of this mixed pup, you can be more watchful when your pup manifests some warning signs related to these possible conditions. Golden Retriever Mixed with Husky Food Requirements The following factors determine the amount of food you will give to your Golden Retriever mixed with Husky puppy: Age—choose a chow that is age-appropriate; our essential guides to the best puppy food brands and the best senior dry dog food will help you find the right one! Size—depending on the size, some pups will thrive on the best dry dog food for small dogs whereas others will be better off with the best large breed dry dog food Metabolism Level of activity The kind of food recommended for this mixed breed is dry food, preferably one of the brands featured in our best dry dog food guide. Commonly, medium to large dogs is given three to four cups of nutritious dog food, divided into two meals. Just like with human food, there are brands you should avoid at any cost. For your convenience, we singled out some of the worst dry dog food brands. Meanwhile, Golden Retrievers have a big appetite and are at risk for obesity. This classification means that you should provide them with lots of mental and physical stimulation. The duration of physical activity would be enough to maintain its weight and protect them from lifestyle diseases. I recommend walking, running, playing with Frisbee or tennis ball for your Golden Retriever Crossed with Husky puppy. If the Golden Retriever Husky mix puppy does not get enough physical and mental stimulation, it may exhibit behavioral problems. These problems include inappropriate barking, chewing, and causing property destruction. This breed is intelligent and fast learners. However, their independent side may antagonize your directions if training started late. An effective way to facilitate the training is by initially having short training sessions. To avoid possible destructive behavior that can be traced to their Husky origin, you should employ obedience training and leash training. You need to assert yourself as the leader by having consistency and clarity. A reliable way to do this task is making the puppy wait for its food. This act will establish your role as the provider and keeper of all the resources, such as the treats, food, toys, and other assets. During training, it is possible to encounter mischief and fluctuations in concentration. A way to prevent this situation is keeping the sessions short. However, you should be cautious and never leave your child and the dog alone. This action could aggravate and provoke the pet. Aside from the appropriate training for the dog, you should teach your child to avoid disturbing or playing with the pup when it is eating or sleeping. By Manish Pandey Newsbeat reporter A new study suggests that pugs face such serious health conditions they can "no longer be considered a typical dog from a health perspective. The study compared the health of 4, pugs and 21, non-pugs. UK pugs are almost twice as likely to experience one or more disorders annually, compared with other dogs. Brachycephalic, or "brachy" dogs - like pugs, bulldogs or boxers - are bred for their distinctive looks. In recent years, pugs have increased in popularity, with a five-fold increase in Kennel Club registrations of pugs from .Health issues Overall, pugs were found to be around 1. The findings do not "come as a surprise" to Dr Myfanwy Hill, a veterinary surgeon who works at the University of Cambridge. Image source, Getty Images Image caption, Researchers argue that the health of the dog should be prioritised over people's desire to own one That causes a lot of the problems pugs face - including issues with breathing, skin and their back. Brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome - a breathing issue - was the disorder with the highest risk in pugs, with the designer breed almost 54 times more likely to have the condition. Dr Hill says the narrow nostrils pugs have, is like "trying to breathe through a really narrow straw" and makes simple things like breathing "much harder work". She adds the "common image we have of pugs" where they're smiling and have their tongue sticking out, looking like they're panting, is not the "joyful" image we may think. Dr Hill says "they have more skin than they need for the size of their face", which can cause skin infections to occur, creating soreness and itchiness. And the "attractive tail" that people like actually shows a "malformed vertebra" which can result in more slipped discs. Image source, Getty Images Image caption, Even if it looks cute, an oversized tongue can cause problems The research also showed pugs have a reduced risk of some conditions, including heart murmur, aggression and wounds. But researchers suggest their findings indicate many pugs may suffer from seriously compromised health and welfare. He says it's important to "focus on the health of the dog rather than the whims of the owner when we are choosing what type of dog to own". Image source, Getty Images Image caption, Experts say their body shape must shift towards a more moderate, and less extreme, shape if health and welfare issues for pugs in the UK are to improve What can you do? Dr Hill says people who buy dogs do so "in good faith" and it's important "not to attribute blame". But there are things that can be done for existing pug owners - like looking out for symptoms of breathing difficulties, such as excessive panting or lots of noise during breathing. In summer months, pugs are more at risk of heat-related problems because they have less airway - so need to be kept cool, she says. And while the "barrel-shaped bodies are really cute" - weight management is important because "an overweight short face dog like a pug is at even greater risk". And we need to make sure that they live long, happy and healthy lives," Dr Hill adds. Listen to Newsbeat live at and weekdays - or listen back here. Related Topics. A good potty training routine starts the night before - to avoid any unwanted accidents, take your puppy outside right before bed to remind them that the outdoors is where the toilet is. Then in the morning, take your pooch out first thing so that they associate the outdoors with going to the toilet. Then during the day and especially in the early puppy days , take your pooch outside every 30 minutes to an hour. This will help your new pup to understand that going to the toilet happens outside. Many parents will opt for puppy matt training, which can be useful in the early stages of puppyhood. Well it helps your pup to understand that only parts of your living area are right for toileting. The pet pugs were highly valued by Chinese Emperors, and the royal dogs were kept in luxury and guarded by soldiers. In Tibet , Buddhist monks kept pugs as pets in their monasteries. Pugs were painted by Goya in Spain, and in Italy they rode up front on private carriages, dressed in jackets and pantaloons that matched those of the coachman. They were used by the military to track animals and people, and were also employed as guard dogs. His self-portrait , which is now in London's Tate Gallery , includes his pug, Trump. Every carriage I meet here has a Pug in it. Many responded to the breed's image of anti-functionalism and diminutive size during this period. The modern pug's appearance probably changed after when a new wave of pugs were imported directly from China. These pugs had shorter legs and the modern-style pug nose. The British aristocrat Lady Brassey is credited with making black pugs fashionable after she brought some back from China in .Hogarth's painting from the 18th century depicts the originally longer muzzle, as well as the picture in a edition of Brehms Tierleben. Since there has been a trend in some countries to breed "retro pugs". Following the deaths of pugs and other brachycephalic breeds, several airlines either banned their transport in cargo or enacted seasonal restrictions. Pugs have elongated palates. When excited, they are prone to " reverse sneezing " which causes them to quickly and seemingly laboriously gasp and snort. The veterinary name for this is pharyngeal gag reflex and it is caused by fluid or debris getting caught under the palate and irritating the throat or limiting breathing. Reverse sneezing episodes are usually not harmful, and massaging the dog's throat or covering its nose in order to make it breathe through its mouth can often shorten a sneezing fit. In serious cases, it makes breathing even more difficult and puts added pressure on the larynx. If this happens, one should inquire with their veterinarian whether or not surgery is needed to open the nostrils. If the prolapse happens on a regular basis, the pug might require surgery. This condition is caused when parasitic mites, that are often present in a dog's skin without causing symptoms, are allowed to do damage because their host has a weakened immune system. It is a problem for many young pugs, although not usually a major one, and is easily treatable, but some are especially susceptible and present with a systemic form of the condition. The condition occurs when two parts of a spinal vertebra do not fuse properly while a young pug is still growing, resulting in an irregularly shaped spinal cavity which can put pressure on the spinal cord. Pug photo, ca .Note its small head and long legs. A pug by Carl Reichert. The pug that was predominantly featured in the commercials was Cheeka. A few other adverts also appeared in the following months, inspired by the idea of a dog following a boy. And wrinkles. Some people confuse the Pug with the French Bulldog , but the Pug is smaller with a black face and his ears are not erect. He may also be confused with the Boston Terrier , but the Pug never has white trim. Pugs were developed in ancient China as lapdogs. The facial wrinkles were an essential breed feature. In , the Pug became the official dog of the House of Orange after a Pug named Pompey saved the life of the Prince of Orange by alerting him that enemy soldiers were approaching. The Spanish artist Goya painted Pugs. In the late 19th century, Queen Victoria kept and bred many Pugs, and many of her relatives adopted the breed as a favorite. The Pug was the most popular royal dog in England during her reign. The AKC recognized the Pug in .The mask and ears are dark. The tail is naturally short and curved. Because of his brachycephalic face the term for short-muzzled dogs , the Pug can overheat easily and may snore or gag due to an overly long soft palate. Pugs have a definite tendency to be overweight! The Pug is the 30th most popular AKC breed, down from 14th most popular a decade ago. Do you own a Pug? Have you spent time with one? Read more about some special Pugs:. Life Span Did You Know? The Pug, or Pug Dog, is famous for its flat-faced appearance and large, soulful eyes. They are an ancient dog breed that originated in China over 2, years ago. They were originally developed as a refined pet of Chinese royalty along with the Pekingese and the Shih Tzu. During this time, the Pug was considered a national treasure that outsiders could only access if one was gifted to them. Dutch traders from the s can be credited with bringing the Pug onto the world stage when they brought some back to Europe with them. The Pug made its way to the United States in the s. Now, the Pug is a popular dog breed worldwide. They are a popular companion that provides their owners with plenty of love and laughter from their comedic and playful antics. The Pug is a playful and outgoing dog breed with a charming personality. They tend to be very loving towards children and also get along well with other pets and dogs. They are a companion breed at heart known for their gentle nature and sociable personality. They love to give love and receive it in return. Their sensitive nature makes them intuitive as well and Pugs will often sense the moods of their owners and react accordingly. They crave attention and affection from their owners and are big fans of napping. This dog breed is often described as an ideal house dog and they are moderately adaptable. They will do well in homes of any size, including apartments. The Pug also adapts well to city or country life and are a good fit for singles or families of any size. Although they are highly adaptable to various living situations, they are less adaptable to climates. Pugs are very sensitive to the heat and overexertion, so they are best-suited to moderate climates. They also love to be with their families and will not be happy if left alone for a long time. As with any dog breed, the Pug has some health conditions to be aware of. In particular, corneal ulcers and dry eye are some potential eye problems that can occur. Additionally, Pugs can be susceptible to hip dysplasia, patellar luxation, and encephalitis. Asking the breeder about the genetic history of the parents and to see health clearances can help allay concerns for some of these health issues. Pugs are also big foodies. They love to eat! Their love for food means this dog breed is prone to obesity. As a brachycephalic dog, their large head and short snout often cause respiratory problems, which can limit their exercise at times and contribute to weight gain. This will cause them to quickly gasp and snort, which can sound relatively alarming. These episodes are usually not harmful as your Pug is just clearing their palate and throat. The Pug tends to be easy to train and is a good fit for owners of any experience level. They are eager to please their owners and tend to pick up on commands quickly. They are sensitive souls and their feelings can be hurt easily, so they will not respond well to harsh corrections. This dog breed responds best to consistent training that focuses on positive rewards and will benefit from participation in puppy training classes. Pugs have a smooth, glossy, and short coat. Their fur is fine and soft. Although their coat is generally low-maintenance, it will shed throughout the year. Aside from brushing, Pugs only need occasional baths on an as-needed basis. Because Pugs have ears that drop down, they can be susceptible to moisture, dirt, or debris. Checking their ears regularly and cleaning as needed helps to keep them healthy and comfortable. The same goes for their iconic face wrinkles. Daily brushing is ideal, but if your Pug is not allowing you to do that, a few times a week should be sufficient. Getting your Pug used to these grooming tasks as a puppy will help make it a positive bonding experience and a much easier process throughout their life. This dog breed has a low to moderate energy level. Generally, daily walks and some play sessions are enough exercise for this dog breed. They may have short bursts of energy as they have a very playful nature, but they will tire easily. Some Pugs can handle a little more activity and even compete in some dogs sports like agility, rally, and obedience. Make sure you check with your vet first before jumping into dog sports with your dog. A full-grown Pug will usually stand 10 to 11 inches tall at the shoulders and weigh between 14 and 18 pounds. This dog breed generally lives for years. The Pug was a popular pet of the Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. Featured Pug Article. Pug Should I adopt a pug? Pugs are wonderful companion animals! British Labradors How we select our British Labradors. When selecting our Labradors for our breeding program, we carefully examine every aspect of the dog. If a Labrador has an undesirable trait, their offspring likely will, too. There are several non-negotiable evaluations that take place before considering a dog for our program, such as sound hips and elbows, a clear eye test, size within the breed standard, a proven pedigree, etc. Once we have checked all of those boxes, we look at the overall personality of the dog. We want dogs who have great social skills, good drive and style in the field, and a true off-switch when not working. This off-switch extends beyond napping in the kennel. Once we know a Labrador meets these standards, we evaluate several aspects of field work. We want to breed Labrador retrievers who love the water, have a natural delivery to hand, charge hard going out and coming back for a retrieve, and are able to use their noses to work heavy cover. Labradors who are in our breeding program are team players who love to work together with their handler in the field. Essentially, we only want to breed the type of Labrador that enhances the hunting experience. Thank you David for all the joy you have given us. We love our beautiful dogs! He is just perfect! We concentrate on Sporting Dogs, Hunting Dogs, Puppy training and of course, family companion puppies. We take a great deal of time researching just the right breeding combination, resulting in puppies very strong in intelligence, health and genetics. All of which allows you to take your new hunting companion and family member to the next level. We are licensed and inspected yearly by Georgia Department Of Agriculture We are not a boarding facility……. .Our Labrador retriever puppies carry the intelligence, trainability and instincts found in only the very best. Hunting Lab Breeders, like Bailiwick Retrievers, produce top hunting companions and of course, first class family members. We have placed our lab puppies for Search and Rescue, Narcotic Dogs, to the government and individual trainers, and Agility Dogs. We at Bailiwick Retrievers believe in socializing, starting on the first day they arrive. Our Pups are born in our house, in the Florida Room next to the Pool…. They are socialized from day one, introduced to loud noises, different sounds and different spaces. This is very important in helping them adjust to their new world without fear. It is all in the training, our dogs even sleep in the bed BUT they know the house rules as well as learning the rules and requirements of a Hunt Test. Teaching what is acceptable from the beginning is very important. Getting a Hunting Labrador Retriever puppy that has the best of both worlds is very easy with great breeding. The intelligence this strong breeding brings makes training easy. Our new lab puppy owners are very important to us. We encourage you to keep us posted on your new labs progress and development. We take great pride in our pups and love progress reports. We are always here for you with suggestions and to answer all questions. Labs are naturally born to hunt and make wonderful companion dogs with a natural family oriented temperament. The Labrador Retriever is unusually adaptable, obedient and kind-hearted. They are sociable, affectionate and loyal with a keen sense of smell. No wonder they are so popular!!! When we began looking for a puppy, we knew we wanted her to have a strong bloodline and come from a reputable breeder. We did a lot of research and finally landed on the Kennels of Baliwick based on their breeding standards and credentialed dam and sire. We are so happy with our decision and feel our Sweet Reese Lee is truly a great-looking dog! She is very affectionate and has demonstrated her ability to be a fabulous hunter time and time again. Loud noises, not a problem; gun shy, not this pup; curious, you betcha! Crate training was no problem with Reese and she had the basic obedience commands down in weeks. On top of that, her keen sense of smell and alertness is unmatched. She is high energy, super playful, and brings so much joy to our lives! We are very grateful to Barbara and Tyler for the love and safekeeping of Reese after she was born and could not have asked for a greater first puppy buying experience! Thanks again! We do everything we can to try and ensure we produce healthy puppies. We go above and beyond when it comes to health testing and it shows. We have also started the process of testing for OFA Thyroid. The results of all of this health testing is readily available online on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals website as well as on the Paw Print Genetics Pedigree Database. We only offer a limited number of litters of puppies per year. We focus on quality and not quantity and believe in having a personal touch. All of our puppies are born and raised in our home and are thoroughly socialized. Our puppies are actually born in our bedroom and stay there until they are between 3 and 4 weeks of age. This way we can ensure that they are safe, clean and comfortable at all times. Not to mention the countless hours of attention they get during the day and late into each night. Once they are 3 to 4 weeks old, we will move them into one of our two puppy nursery rooms where we can expand their box and begin the introduction to potty training. We LOVE our puppies and it shows in their care. We will only breed litters when we can guarantee that each puppy will receive daily individual love and attention. When we have multiple litters on the ground we hire in special daily helpers to ensure that our strict standards of care are always met. Our puppy program is extensive and comprehensive, yet we are continually fine-tuning and looking at ways to incorporate more. At a bare minimum this program includes: early neurological stimulation called ENS or Biosensor , early scent introduction ESI , introduction to crates, car rides, birds or bird wings, gunfire from a distance, water weather permitting , outdoor adventures in different types of environments, daily loud noises, introduction to potty training and lots of socialization with adults, kids and other dogs. We strive to give every puppy the best start possible. By the time they are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age, each puppy should be well prepared for whatever direction their new family takes them. Our very first litter was in and then we took a short hiatus from breeding until .Since resuming, we have had tremendous success with our very limited number of litters. The majority of our puppies have gone to homes where they live as part of the family and have proven themselves as exceptional hunting-working-competition dogs.

Like all things in life, breeding for health is simply a matter of priority. We are blind to many of the breed priorities that distract other breeders from improving the health of the English Bulldog. We focus on health and personality and very little else. We are not interested in winning a blue ribbon in the show ring. Rather, we test for things like elongated soft palates, narrow tracheas, stenotic nares, luxation in the patellar tendons, heart defects, cherry eye, optic cilia, entropion, ect. We focus and prioritize creating healthy bloodlines, therefore our bulldogs are typically much healthier than the breed as a whole. After breeding for health, what other priorities are you focused on? Our true desire is to create the perfect family bulldog. We also believe a bulldog bred for the correct personality is essential to the family unit as well. A Bruiser Bulldog is bred for intelligence and playfulness. We want our bulldogs to be full of personality and some quirk. We believe a full personality along with a little stubbornness is the true North star of the bulldog breed and is what makes the unique among other breeds. We look for these personality traits in our adult bulldogs and continue to create bloodlines that reflect these qualities. What are the steps of your adoption process if I am located in Louisiana? I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T.
