They will even try to sleep sitting up in order to breathe better. Corktail A curly or screw-shaped tail formation on an English Bulldog presents two major concerns. These are hygiene and spinal deformities. Similar to deep skin wrinkles, the screw tail must be kept very clean and dry. The curly tail can trap feces and dirt, leading to irritation and infection.
