We have fields, trees, and year long creeks to play in. We moved here 20 years ago from Snoqualmie, Washington. We were trying to find a slower pace and a more country setting to raise our son, Liam. We have raised many animals throughout our lives. Horses, pigs, chickens, turkeys, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, and ducks. We have put this property to use many times with different animals, but in the last several years we wondered what was next. Our son was growing up, but I still wanted to take care of him. So, as the time has drawn closer, someone suggested I raise dogs. I had worked as a dog trainer, kennel operator, and obedience trainer in Redmond, Washington for a few years. I thought about it for a while and realized, Yes! That was my calling! I loved Golden Doodle dogs and realized it was the perfect fit. I started out slowly, but soon realized I loved what I was doing and wanted to do more. I love being around all my Labradoodles and Golden Doodle dogs, as well as care taking all those little golden doodle puppies that need me so bad. I found my caretaking needs were being fulfilled and I was happy, but more so, my son was happy that he had some room to breathe without his mother smothering him with all the love, concern, and caring I needed to give, I can give it to him in regular sized bites versus the shovel full he was used to. I now have a full plate of caretaking, including full course raw food meal prep, which I love doing. I have been making up and refining my dog food recipes for years and now I can feed the crew I was always intended to feed. I always have said I should have had 10 kids because I just want to feed them all. We have embarked on a fairly large project of remodeling an old barn that I never thought would see the light of a new day. Breathing new life into its old bones feels good. I love that my animals are being raised in the same fashion as what was so important in raising our son. Wide open spaces and plenty of outside fresh air, along with healthy nutritious food. My dogs get dirty and look like they just fell off the turnip truck, but I can guarantee you that they are happy. I love that I can train and work with puppies in the safety of my own fields. During the good months, when they stay for training, they get to learn how to explore their environment, they get to be challenged by the natural environment for growth, character building, and building self- esteem, and they all get to learn how to swim, in the same place I took my son so many years ago, for him to play, explore, and swim. We pride ourselves on our feeding program as well. My husband and I are both in natural healthcare and have been trained in human nutrition, which we have used in our practice for many years. We have a small office here in Deer Park where we live. We have always lived a clean, healthy lifestyle and have tried to raise our son in the same way.
