Our family strives to cultivate a lineage of healthy Labradoodles with intelligent, sociable, and gentle temperaments, as well as non-shedding coats. Our breeding program focusses on producing puppies who are ready to be working service dogs and loving companions. We offer lifetime support for friends and families in caring for their new companion. How beautiful it is to find someone who asks for nothing but your company Our love for Labradoodles began when we got our first dog Hazel Joy. As animal loving allergy sufferers, we were so happy to be able to have a pet that did not make us feel sick AND who was such a joyful addition to our family! She was great with our small children--never aggressive and very patient with their antics. We were inspired by our experience and started High Road Labradoodles so that we could provide others with the same positive experience. Our dogs live at almost feet in a dog mountain heaven. The closest main road is called The High Road to Taos, hence our name and our standard of care! They run free on our property and socialize with children, adults, cats, bunnies, and birds. Our dogs have a hand built adobe passive solar dog house with a doggie door and incredible views of the sunset! They are working dogs too--they are trained to alert us when visitors--both 2 and 4 legged-- arrive; they are also trained to watch and protect our children when hiking, and around the land. All of our puppies are whelped indoors, and grow up surrounded by the sounds of our home--laughter, singing, drumming, bangs and clangs, vacuums, television and music. We provide them with many surfaces to walk on--starting with wooly padding and advancing to brick, tile, and wood flooring. Eventually, they get to adventure outside and explore grass and the earth. At about 6 weeks, we "personality test" our puppies using Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Test, in order to gain a solid sense of each individual temperament. This goes a long way in matching puppies to homes where they can thrive! We give thanks and praise to the Most High God for all of His grace and mercy. We have had many happy customers and our goal is to pair you with a dog that will enrich your life! Thank you for taking time to explore our site and our furry guys! Please contact us with any questions or inquiries! Pablo loves hiking up in the mountains. Proudly created with Wix. Ponderosa pines surround it, and the dogs can play and run around, making it a dog paradise! Within the first eight weeks, they ensure that all puppies are socialized with children and exposed to various sights, smells, and sounds. The puppies will be well-adjusted and more confident as a result of this. Until they go to their new homes, they consider all puppies to be their family members. They believe in building partnerships. Even after their customers have gone home with their dream pup, they stay in touch with them. If you have any queries concerning training, grooming, or health, do not hesitate to contact them. We have listed breeders are the most trustworthy sources for a healthy Labradoodle puppy. We were ill-prepared for a strong minded, working breed. We learned all the quirks of the breed that make them a desirable companion and then all the not so great traits that require a serious owner to manage them. Our dogs live in house and puppies are raised underfoot. We believe that well- tempered dogs that do well in a busy household will produce puppies with the same temperament. Because we raise all our dogs in our house we only keep as many dogs as we can manage. We rely heavily on our co-ownership program. Our dogs are raised holistically, fed a raw meat diet and follow the limited vaccine protocol. We have travelled all over USA to show, work and compete with our dogs. I have dedicated a large part of my life to learning the breed and everything that comes with it. Bully breeds are often the target of BSL, we feel it is our responsibility to be advocates of responsible ownership. American Bulldogs are not for everyone, they require strong leadership and structure. We believe American Bulldogs should be a versatile dog. They may not be the best at everything, but they will certainly try! We have done weight pull, protection sports, dock diving, scent detection, barn hunt, lure course, obedience and conformation with our dogs. Although all our puppies take a piece of our hearts as they leave on their new adventure, we trust that their new homes offer them a great life and keep us updated. We love to hear about our puppies and we measure our success on the feedback we receive. It is never a bother to hear from our own puppy owners or any other American Bulldog owner that needs advice. I have been heavily involved in American Bulldogs for 13 years — from conformation shows to performance events — we do it all with our dogs. I also work full-time to support my dog addiction and am a mother to a fourteen year old daughter Brooklynn. Albert is a rescue dog and with any rescue, we cannot guarantee breed or age. We believe Albert is to be an American Bulldog mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 60 lbs and we do not expect him to get much bigger if at all than his current size. Albert has the most adorable squishy smooshy face that is the perfect subject for picture opportunities and has the looks that will make everyone stop in your tracks. Albert is dog friendly and did great meeting all of the dogs we introduced him to. He will do well in a home with other moderately playful dogs that will also respect his space whenever he does not want to play and he would also make a great dog for a single pet household. Absolutely no kitties for Albert please, he liked our resident cats a little too much. He is what we consider medium to low energy and like most bulldogs, will not require a lot of exercise and would most likely do well in a apartment or condo. If you know bull dogs you know they can be very stubborn and set in their ways and training can be a little more of a challenge but Albert is very treat motivated which will make training that much easier. Bonus points: he already knows how to sit! He does respond well to corrections and checks in frequently with his handler. He will need some help polishing his leash skills as he can pull to things that excite him and will need to learn some basic obedience skills. He likes to jump every now and then when he gets excited or when those treats come out. Consistency, patience and treats will be key to setting Albert up to be the best doggy citizen he can be. He will be a great buddy to take with you to run errands, join you for a leisurely walk in the neighborhood on a cool day, and will love you forever if you take him to his favorite place the pet store where he can pick out his favorite treats and toys. Abert is crate trained and potty trained and can even stay in his crate for up to 8 hrs with no accidents! His foster says he is very calm and comfortable in the home and likes to follow her around like her little sidekick. Albert is not overly affectionate but you will find him sitting next to you while you read and simply enjoying quality time with you. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12, very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Our dogs are smart, calm, intuitive, and beautiful. We only breed one litter at a time. Together we discover that there is nothing more rewarding than making people happy with healthy, social and gorgeous puppies. They have soft coats and wonderful temperaments. We breed carefully with low inbreeding and provide you with a pedigree. Our breeding dogs pass many tests to qualify for our breeding program. Tests on breeding dogs include hip and elbow xrays, cardiac screening, healthy eye certification, and DNA tests for common diseases in the breed. We take special care of all our dogs and puppies. We love our Australian Labradoodle puppies from start to finish! We do not breed with anxious, aggressive, nervous dogs, but we select our breeding dogs with good temperaments. They have a gentle, calm, happy character with just enough spirit to be playful and fun. We raise our breeding dogs in our own home or in foster families called guardian homes. All dogs deserve to live with a family. We are not a kennel operation. Because the puppies grow up in our home, they are socialized and love people and other dogs. They are introduced to people, children, and other dogs at a very early age. Training with commands such as come and sit start at 5 weeks of age. We introduce them to their crates at the same time. Our labradoodles keep us laughing with their clownlike antics. We have a lot of experience and knowledge raising and training dogs and we promise a lifetime of support. We distinguish ourselves by having the healthiest, friendliest dogs with wonderful temperaments. They are mostly hypoallergenic dogs. They are very intelligent and easy to train, so Australian Labradoodles are used for emotional support and service. Our whelping boxes and pens are cleaned and sanitized every day. As a boutique breeder near Seattle, Washington, and Woodinville, Washington, we produce just a handful of puppies each year. This gives us valuable time to introduce each puppy with age appropriate socialization experiences with lots of love and attention, giving the puppies the best start in life. Our program focuses on producing healthy, sweet-tempered, genetically sound mini and medium Australian Labradoodle pups. All our dogs have non-shedding, allergy and asthma-friendly fleece coats. By the time your puppy arrives in your home it will have started on potty training and crate training. Known primarily for their sweet disposition, these dogs are increasingly sought-after for therapy and service work and make excellent family companions. We are proud to be a Gold Star member of the Australian Labradoodle Association of America and abide by the organization's standards for excellence. Home: Welcome. Family Raised. Fluffy faces and shedless coats It all begins with the gorgeous and innocent fluffy faces of the Multigen Australian Labradoodle. Labradoodles have the dreamiest eyes, the most adorable paws, and the sweetest personalities. They learn and adapt faster than you can imagine and are incredibly loyal, as every life partner should be. For extra doodle points, Labradoodles are also allergy-friendly with their hypoallergenic and non to very low shedding coats. Family love and socialization Constant attention, affection, and socialization keep the pups happy. We raise the puppies in our home in the middle of our living space. They're never more than a few steps away. We introduce the doodles to a variety of people and intentionally try to expose them to as many different traits as possible. They smell us making dinner; they hear it when the wind slams a door shut; they sense it when someone in the house has a rough day. Overall, they experience all that goes on in a busy family home. These diverse experiences, coupled with love and lots of snuggles from family and friends, are the keys to a relaxed puppy and a well-socialized and calm adult Labradoodle with a compelling and flexible personality. All of the puppy culture experiences are important, but the family-raised element truly sets you up for success as a doodle parent. Health testing to the highest standard We want your doodle puppy to grow up happy and healthy and become a treasured family member for many years to come. You can rest easy knowing that your Labradoodle puppy has the healthiest parents possible. Your puppy will go home with you with a clean health report from our local veterinarian and all their puppy vaccinations through eight weeks of age. Lastly, while genetic health issues are rare, we include a two-year genetic health guarantee with all of our pups. Forever family connection and support One of the many reasons I decided to pivot from doodle parent to doodle breeder is that I love seeing these pups become cherished family members when matched with their forever families. Some folks adopt their Labradoodle and never need additional contact, and that's perfectly okay. Others are comforted knowing I am delighted to join and support them on this journey. I'm just a call or text away if you ever have questions. Plus, you'll quickly become an expert dog photographer if you're not one already. If you feel up to sharing, my family and I love seeing how your doodle happily ever after turned out.
I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T. They like to nap frequently and enjoy play time. They are more than ready to meet their new families! They are just over 2 months. There are Two females and two males. Second, do some online research. There are many websites that allow dog owners to review breeders. Reading through these reviews can give you a good idea of what the breeder is like and whether or not they are reputable. If you do not want to visit the kennel in person, at least meet with the breeder of your pup face-to-face before you put any money down. There are plenty of reputable breeders out there who will be more than happy to help you find the perfect puppy for your family. Do your research, ask lots of questions. Questions to Ask Ask for References from Your German Shepherd Breeder in Massachusetts Make sure the breeder has a list of references that you can contact who have purchased dogs from them in the past. Do not be afraid to call or email these people and ask questions about their experience with the breeder, whether they are happy with their dog, if they recommend her, and if they would buy a dog from her again. Be prepared to wait for the right puppy. Be cautious of any German Shepherd Breeder in Massachusetts that does not offer you references. If your breeder tells you he is unable to provide this information for some reason, then take this as a red flag and politely thank him for his time but do not purchase anything from him. Ask Your Massachusetts German Shepherd Breeder if You Can Meet Past Customers Many people who go to a breeder and meet the parents of the puppy they are interested in, find out that if they had met some of the past customers who have purchased a puppy from our German Shepherd Breeder, they would not have even considered buying a puppy from this breeder. Many of these past customers will tell you that they did not get what was been promised to them when it came to the exercise requirements, temperament and loyalty qualities that these German Shepherds possessed. When your puppy is first brought home it is a good idea to confine them to a crate or a small area with nothing on the ground that they can chew. This lets them get used to being in one spot without getting into trouble. Once you have taught your German Shepherd Dog not to chew things you can give them free reign of the house though still keeping dangerous items out of their reach. If you want, but this may be difficult if your new dog has already chewed through everything at least once, you can purchase some baby gates and put them up around your house so that your puppy is confined to specific rooms unless they are leashed. If all goes well, and it usually does, after about 3 months sometimes sooner your puppy will have learned the house rules and can be allowed to roam free. Potty Training Your New German Shepherd Puppy One of the most important things you will need to do when potty training your new puppy is to be consistent. You should take them out every time they eat, drink, or play and also after they wake up from a nap. Reward them with lots of praise and a treat when they go potty in the right spot. It can be helpful to put your puppy on a regular feeding schedule as this will help with predictability when it comes to going potty. It is a coloration that can be present in various sizes of Poodles, including Standard, Miniature, Moyen , and Toy Poodles. Like all other colors of Poodle, black poodles are descended from water-retriever dogs. They have a long history of being both working dogs and companion dogs. There is a dispute about whether the Poodle originated in Germany or France. Either way, Poodles were originally working dogs bred to retrieve shot game and lost arrows. Poodles are a popular dog breed for several reasons. They are intelligent and friendly. They have a beautiful and striking appearance. Also, they have certain hypoallergenic qualities. Black Poodle Appearance and Genetics A black poodle can either have solid black fur over its entire body, or black along with another color. Black Poodles have black eyes, lips, noses, and toes. Entirely black Poodles are one of the most popular Poodle colorations due to their striking appearance. A genuine black Poodle does not have any white or silver tint in its fur. Poodles have both an outer and inner coat. The outer coat is the one that is easily visible. The inner coat is beneath the outer coat and is not so easy to see. All black Poodles have a black outer coat, but some have an inner coat that appears blue or gray. Having a blue or gray inner coat can make the black outer coat appear lighter. Standard Poodles are over 15 inches tall and weigh somewhere between 40 and 70 pounds. Miniature Poodles are classified as being between 10 and 15 inches tall and weighing between 10 and 15 pounds. The smallest size category is the Toy Poodle, which is under 10 inches tall and weighs only 4 to 6 pounds. Moyen Poodles fall between Miniature and Standard Poodles in their size and weight. Usually, Moyen Poodles are 15 to 19 inches and weigh 15 to 25 pounds. The Moyen Poodle is not yet recognized by the American Kennel Club, but with its growing popularity, it may be recognized soon. Fans of the Moyen Poodle praise their medium size. Their size makes them well suited to being lapdogs but also large enough to keep up with their owners during physical activities and outdoor adventures. You can learn more about the Moyen Poodle here. Regardless of what size category they fall into, all Poodles naturally have a muscular but slim form. Poodles also have long muzzles. Their fur is either corded or curled. Poodle fur is known to require high maintenance. What Causes Black Fur? The black fur color seen in black Poodles is caused by the same process that determines the coat colors of all dogs. These pigments are eumelanin and pheomelanin. To make it simple, if genes connected to eumelanin are dominant within a dog, that dog will have a black coat. The gene that leads to black fur is stronger than the gene for other coat colors. This means that it is easier to breed black Poodles even if they only have a small amount of eumelanin in their genetics. Black Poodle puppies can be born even if neither of the parents have black fur. This can happen if one of their ancestors further back had black fur. The genes that lead to black fur on Poodles do not have an effect on the Poodles' personality or health. Are Silver Poodles Born Black? Some silver or gray Poodles are born silver or gray. But some black Poodles do eventually turn silver or gray. There are two ways a black Poodle can end up turning silver or gray. The fur of true black Poodles does eventually start to turn gray, but this happens gradually when they transition from an adult to a senior dog. In this type of graying, the gray fur will not always spread to the entire body. Often, the graying will start around the muzzle and spread from there. In some cases, a Poodle can be born black and gray prematurely over the first two years of its life. It can be hard or even impossible to tell if a black Poodle puppy will remain truly black. Are Black Poodles Friendly? Black Poodles, when raised with proper training and socialization, are just as friendly as any other coloration of Poodle. Poodles are energetic dogs, so they need exercise every day. They are also intelligent, and thus need mental stimulation as well as physical stimulation. Though well-trained black Poodles are no different from other Poodles in their temperament, they unfortunately face a stigma due to their coat color. Several causes for black dog syndrome have been suggested. Often, large black dogs are portrayed as violent and intimidating in movies and television shows. Black dogs are also known to not photograph as well as lighter colored dogs. The only notable difference is that dirt and tangling can be harder to see on dark coats. Short haircuts are a popular choice for Poodles, since this makes their coils or curly fur easier to manage. Poodles need to be groomed daily. They also need to visit the groomer regularly, unless you feel comfortable trimming their coat at home. Poodles are naturally slim dogs. It is easy for them to become overweight if their diet is not properly monitored. It is important to talk to a vet about the best diet for your black Poodle. One thing that dog owners often forget is that treats used in training can add up in calories over time. Black Poodle Health The genes that cause a black coat in Poodles are not known to be connected to any health issues. As such, monitoring the health of a black Poodle is similar to monitoring the health of any other shade of Poodle. It is important to note that the likelihood of certain health conditions occurring can be affected by the size of the Poodle. Poodles can be affected by a wide variety of health ailments, but there are several that are especially common within the breed. These include: Dental problems All dogs are susceptible to dental problems, including tartar buildup and gingivitis. Heart problems The category of "heart problems" covers a wide array of issues that can affect all dogs. This includes heart murmurs and arrhythmias. Hip and elbow dysplasia Hip and elbow dysplasia refers to painful abnormalities in the hip and elbow bones. Patellar Luxation Patellar Luxation is an abnormality in the kneecap that can cause issues with mobility. Progressive Retinal Atrophy Progressive Retinal Atrophy refers to a group of diseases that cause photoreceptor cells in the eyes to degenerate, resulting in reduced vision. Sebaceous Adenitis Sebaceous Adenitis is a condition that affects the sebaceous glands. These are the glands in the skin that keep skin and fur healthy. When these stop working properly, damage to the skin and fur will result. This is by no means a complete list of health issues that can affect Poodles. Regular checkups at the vet are a must for any dog. Other Poodle Colors Poodles are known for having a wide variety of coat colors. These various coat colors do not lead to any differences in temperament. Possibly the most popular shade of Poodle next to the black Poodle is the white Poodle. Many people feel that white fur makes Poodles appear more soft and cuddly. Brown Poodles come in a variety of shades, from dark brown to a more tan color. Red and apricot are rarer than most other colors of Poodle. Their fur has hues of copper or auburn within it. Apricot is usually considered to be the color most recently introduced to Poodle breeding, so it is more difficult to breed. Not all gray Poodles are senior dogs. Poodles can be born gray. Or, as discussed earlier, they can gray prematurely. Conclusion Even once you have decided to bring a Poodle into your life, you still have many options when it comes to the size and coloration of your new pup. No matter your living situation or personal preferences, between the Toy, Miniature, Moyen, and Standard Poodle, there is sure to be a size that will work for you. And with their multitude of coat colors, you can be certain to find a pup that fits your aesthetic tastes. Many regard the black Poodle as the most beautiful and elegant of all Poodle colorations, and it is easy to see why. Still, with their friendly and energetic personalities, any type of Poodle is sure to bring light into your life. However, the stunning solid black and the snowy pure white are the 2 most common Poodle colors. When it comes to a black Poodle, let's take a look at how one may be confused when the puppy is a newborn and begin to look at the genes that are involved with this color dog. Poodles have 2 coats of hair, an outer coat the one that you will see and the inner coat the one which you will usually only see when grooming. A true black Poodle is a deep ink black. The dog's outer coat will have zero blue or silver tinting and not have any white or silver guard hairs Although a black can have graying due to aging .The face skin when shaved will be deep black, as well. A true black will not "clear" or "fade" as the dog turns from puppy to adult. Blacks will have black points and very dark brown eyes. Therefore, if you have or see a black Poodle newborn puppy, one must look at the points of the dog and the pup's pedigree to determine if a change will take place. This means a change of color in the coat of the dog. All blue Poodles are born black and then "clear" within 1 to 2 years. For this reason, many blue Poodles are registered as black. The outer coat of a blue is usually as dark as that of a black, but hairs at the root is a mix of colors. The amount of each color depends on the age of the dog. In middle-aged dogs, medium brown predominates. True blue Poodles will have blue skin pigmentation and most have dark brown eyes. A true black Poodle will have 3 certain enzymes that must all be present to produce black. The first is referred to as the dark eumelanin enzyme.Scarlett, 18 months old Photo courtesy of owner: Dorothy Poodles that do not have this, will have the Pheomelanin enzyme instead, which would create a light colored coat. So, to begin a Poodle may have the eumelanin enzyme and then in order to be a true black, there has to be two accessory enzymes that must be there as well, known as TRP1 and TRP2. Since dogs carry genes from both parents, a Poodle with 2 black color genes has the genotype of BB. If a Poodle has one black and one brown gene factor, the genotype is Bb; however black is dominant over brown and the coat would be black. That Poodle, however - if bred- will pass down the Bb gene, which could produce black or brown puppies, depending one which gene the other parent passes down. Do Black Poodles have Different Behavior? Have you heard of black dog syndrome? It applies to all sized dogs, however tends to be used more with medium to large sized dogs, therefore it would apply to the standard Poodle more than the toy. This is a theory that has not yet been fully proven - though informal studies have been done - that black colored dogs are passed over for adoption in favor of their lighter colored counterparts. Some say that this is most due to media TV shows and movies depicting black dogs to be more aggressive or non-friendly. While it appears that some shelters have reported that dark coated or black dogs take a bit longer to adopt out, this seems to only apply to mixed breeds. There are absolutely no temperament or behavioral differences between black Poodles and those of any other color. The coat color does not dictate a Poodle's personality, ability or socialize any other factors at all that would influence how the dog behaves. Caring for a Black Poodle Care elements are just about the same, there are only two minor differences: 1 Black coats will show light colored debris, just as lighter coats will show darker dirt and debris. For this reason, depending on what activities a black Poodle engages in and such things as the color fabric of carpeting in the house, etc. If a black Poodle is attracting light colored lint, a quick spritz of a finishing spray will help the hairs repel fine particles. Elements such as long term sun exposure may cause a gradual reddening or a fading. To keep the coat as deep and deliciously black as possible, you may want to use color enhancing shampoos that do not dye the hairs but do bring out natural color. All rights reserved. Johnny Behavior 0Comments Is your Frenchie feeling a bit under the weather? Pet parents can find it hard to believe that their pup is not in the mood for a walk in the park or a quick game of fetch. Your Frenchie will be sad sometimes — no doubt there. But what if this sadness starts looking like depression? That means that they can experience feelings of sadness and depression a bit differently. Even more so, dogs can sense your energy. So, if you notice that your Frenchie is not in the best place right now, try not to project any more anxious feelings onto them. Just like humans, there is a specific limit to which they can tolerate emotions. Okay, this was a short — but hopefully useful — intro on dog depression. Get ready to take notes! Low activity levels and refusing playtime are generally the first and most common signs that your dog is depressed. Before you start panicking, try to bring in a family member or a friend your pup knows well. But what happens when your Frenchie is refusing a delicious dog snack? Try offering them their favorite treat. Adult Frenchies do spend up to 14 hours a day snoozing. Relaxing is one thing, though. So, if your Frenchie refuses to get out of bed, and all you hear is snoring sounds — it might be feeling depressed. Note: Excess sleeping often has a psychological background to it. Constant sleep is not the only sign. Insomnia is another red flag — and this one could have an impact on you, too. And, honestly, they might get on your nerves, too. How is this connected? Well, licking could be a form of self-soothing — just like too much sleeping. Also, excess licking can have health consequences. Your French bulldog can pick up a lot of parasites and dust mites that could lead to infections and inflammation. You ought to be careful with this one. You should start worrying when barking turns into howling, though. These sudden and aggressive outbursts can happen whenever. Your Frenchie can bite you — or growl until you leave the room. Your Frenchie will either have sudden aggressive outbursts towards you or will try to ruin your furniture. Flattening their ears is a sign of anxiety, fear, and depression. The sadder or more frightened your Frenchie is, the more its ears will go back. There is probably an underlying medical cause behind this; you might want to call the vet. Here are a couple of tips for concerned owners. Cuddle with them, take them on regular walks — and even talk to them. Your dog needs your love, but it also needs company. Consider taking your Frenchie to dog parks more often and arrange dog playdates. Call your vet for a one-on-one medical consultation if you notice that the matter is spiraling out of hand. Maybe your Frenchie is suffering from something more serious — and it needs medication. Our Final Thoughts There are many signs that your French bulldog is depressed. They can be related to the environment, food, anger issues — or even sleeping patterns. The main point is, dog depression is genuine, and you need to deal with it. When not writing, he enjoys hiking and time in nature with his pets. Pin1 1 Shares We all want to have a well-adjusted French Bulldog, but with their sad faces it can be hard to tell if they are in fact depressed and unhappy. As a generalization, French Bulldogs always look sad so as an owner you should instead look for other signs of depression aside from their facial expression. But before I explain how tell if your French Bulldog is depressed and what could be causing the depression, just a quick caveat; long-term canine depression is very unusual. With most Frenchies you will find times when they are depressed, but in the majority of cases it will be a short-term thing typically due to an environmental or routine change. Longer term depression in Frenchies can arise from a major life change. For example, perhaps their companion dog died, they have had a nasty injury, have moved home, or experienced some form of trauma. This French Bulldog sad face, is actually a happy face — go figure! Here are all the signs of depression and sadness you need to look out for. Will hide, cower, and be fearful of you French bulldog depression will often manifest itself with hiding behavior. The reason your French Bulldog hides can be down to a range of issues, many of which I will explain further down in the guide when I look at the causes of depression. However, simple reasons can be a change in what they are used to. Think of home moves, new people, or changes to their routine. Frenchies will seek out small and dark places to hide in when they are sad, depressed, frightened, or stressed. Frenchies are social companion dogs. If you leave them alone for just a couple of hours, they can suffer with separation anxiety. With a little bit of coaxing and love they will soon be back to their normal selves. Handy Hint: To find out more about separation anxiety in Frenchies and how it can make them sad or depressed, read this guide. It refers to when your dog will look at you, but with its head bowed or to one side, but still with the eyes fixed on you but with one key difference; you can see the whites of the eyes in a crescent shape showing. This whale eye behaviour is a classic sign of a dog being stressed, fearful, anxious, or depressed. Whale eye in this half moon shape can be a sign of stress, but not always in a Frenchie. Dogs of a brachycephalic breed such as Frenchies always have a little bit of white showing in their eyes. Will have a change in appetite One of the biggest ways to tell if your French bulldog is depressed will be a loss of appetite. But, just like humans, sometimes dogs can even more when they are feeling sad and down. However, most of the time, a sad French Bulldog will lose their appetite. This can be a sign of increased stress levels. Thankfully, this has only ever lasted for half a day at most with our Frenchie, but it should be closely monitored. This will usually be due to a medical complaint, so you should consult with your vet if it goes on for too long. Will lick themselves more than usual One of the lesser known signs of depression in a French Bulldog is excessive licking. It will often be mis-interpreted as them licking a wound or cleaning themselves. Why is licking excessively a sign of stress, depression, or sadness though? Firstly, a dog will lick more in order to sooth itself. I believe this is a hereditary thing from when their mother would lick and wash them in a litter. What better way to feel happier than putting yourself in a comfortable mental zone? The second reason why excessive licking could mean your Frenchie is depressed is medical. Dogs that scratch, itch, and lick more than usual could have a skin problem. Handy Hint: To find out what skin problems Frenchies suffer with and what signs to look out for, read this guide. I found this quote from Dr Anita Patel , a leading veterinary dermatologist which sums it up very well. What we now know is that skin issues can be one of the biggest causes of depression for dogs. And like people, when a dog is depressed, they lose interest in the things they usually love. Frequently itching, scratching, nibbling or licking themselves could be a strong sign of a skin condition. In rarer cases of French Bulldog depression, it could actually go in completely the opposite direction, with them not sleeping at all. We had this with Claude once when he had a gastro-intestinal problem. He was unable to sleep and was very depressed until the infection passed. In the graph below you can see what a typical sleeping pattern can look like when your Frenchie is not sad or down in the dumps. This is how many hours a day a Frenchie will typically sleep. You can read how many of sleep is normal here. Will start yawning and panting This is another lesser known sign your French bulldog is depressed is yawning. Scientists believe there is a lot of foundation in it read more on PsychologyToday. In dog obedience classes, for example, I have often seen a dog yawn immediately after its master scolded it for something or gave it a very harsh correction. Dogs will often pant when they are scared — if you have a dog that hates loud noises such as fireworks, you might have seen this in action. Will urinate or defecate indoors Dogs can also respond to stress by urinating inside of the house. This one can come out of nowhere even with previously very well trained Frenchies. French Bulldog acting depressed will often combine in by soiling the floor inside of the house. Dog behavioural specialists say this is very common after a house move, or high times of anxiety when a dog will mark its territory — or even be afraid to go outdoors. In many cases though, it will be down to fear and anxiety. Destructive behavior will often be combined with a lack of obedience and not responding to commands. Digging is a classic sign too. Often Frenchies will dig holes in the garden because they literally want to escape and get to another place. Will lose interest in toys and play Very depressed and sad French Bulldogs will stop doing the things that they love. This can be going for walks, being at your side, and even losing interest their toys. Handy Hint: You might find that your Frenchie cheers up by being stimulated by some new toys. Why is your French bulldog sad in this scenario? Well, like most of the signals on this list, there could be an underlying health issue bring them down. Will growl and be aggressive And the most obvious is saved for last. Frenchies that are sick or scared can become aggressive. It makes sense; dogs who are stressed can become fearful, and not want anybody near them. Handy Hint: If your Frenchie is biting for non-stress related reasons then there are ways in which you can train them to stop. See this guide to preventing biting behavior. If your French Bulldog seems depressed it could be down to a number of reasons. Here are some of the most common reasons why your dog could be sad. Change in routine or their environment Frenchies are very sensitive to change. I know one owner whose puppy had a long period of depression after a house move. It took their dog a month to get used to the change of surroundings not too soon after it had settled into a new home shortly after being taken away from the mother. Many dog owners report depression in their pups after a new baby is born and brought into the family home. Others talk about their dog being sad if they have had to spend more time than usual out of the home perhaps with a new job. Traumatic incident or injury French Bulldogs can also act depressed after a stressful incident or an injury. Injuries that involve going to a vet could put your dog well out of its comfort zone. Having to be prodded, poked, and injected will often raise anxiety levels for a long time after the injury has been treated. The same sadness will manifest itself in Frenchies whose owners have passed away. It can be very challenging to take on the dog who has lost their owner. You can read how to help them out further down the page. Loneliness French Bulldogs are companion animals. I recommend two Frenchies being better than one for this very reason. Fear and stress One Frenchie owner I spoke to told me how her dog became depressed after new neighbors moved in who had a dog. Her French Bulldog knew the new dog was on the other side of the fence in the backyard, and she believes the depression set in due to anxiety over territory. Separation anxiety Separation anxiety is a common theme with Frenchies and one of the main reasons why they will become depressed. Symptoms of separation anxiety, and therefore depression include: Urinating and defecating indoors. Pacing, heavy panting, and drooling. Chewing, digging , and destructive behavior. Escape attempts. I mentioned human babies coming into a household earlier as a prime reason for depression. The reason being, the focus of attention will move from the dog to the new arrival. Sickness And last but not least; sickness. Your French Bulldog could always look sad due to illness. The depression could very well be a secondary symptom of pain and discomfort. For example, if your Frenchie no longer wants to go for a walk, preferably to look miserable and disinterested, it could be the on-set of canine arthritis pain. You can usually lift a sad funk with things such as: Offer plenty of attention and love. Keep routines and schedules the same Keep them well entertained with play and exercise. Consider getting them a dog companion. Buy new toys to keep them mentally active and stimulated. Give them more socialization with other dogs. Give them a safe and comfortable place to bed down. Give them time to feel better — it will probably lift after a couple of hours. If nothing else works, then you should seek professional support from a vet. They will be able to do checks and blood tests to look for any medical reasons that could be caused the depressed behavior. These work very similar to how depression meds do with humans. Conclusion The bottom line is that Frenchies will typically become sad after a major event or change in their life. And how will you know your Frenchie is loving life? Dogs are like people in more ways than people seem to give them credit. Like people, dogs can experience several emotions. We see these in how they interact through their body language. Dogs can be happy, sad, fearful, and angry. If your Frenchie friend is suddenly acting listless or even sad, and it seems to last for an extended period, you might be worried there is a problem. Frenchies, like all dogs, can act sad for several reasons. Sadness can be a normal emotion, such as after your dog has lost a companion, had an upheaval in routine, or lost an owner. Sometimes, a change in the environment, like moving or bringing home a new baby, can cause it. Sometimes, your dog might be sad because you scolded him. With that information in mind, you might be wondering how you can tell if your dog is just sad or if he may suffer from depression. Sadness is common for the causes mentioned above. Just like people, your dog is bound to be sad sometimes. Generally speaking, sadness is pretty easy to identify, even in Frenchies that already naturally look sad with their droopier faces. But at some point, that sadness can even become depression that requires some treatment. Temporary sadness is to be expected from time to time. However, sadness is not the same as depression. When your dog is depressed, the sadness does not disappear. Depression is rare in dogs, but it does occur sometimes. Depressed dogs are those which appear to be sad for much longer than you would expect. They may not participate in their favorite activities at all or completely reject food. Like in humans, depression in dogs can seriously impact their wellbeing and behavior that may require further treatment. Just like people, dogs can be medicated with antidepressants. Why is My French Bulldog Depressed? You might wonder what dogs have to be depressed about. After all, they get fun, food, shelter, and built-in companions with their owners. Grief: The most common reason for depression in dogs is grief. It could be in the form of losing a companion, such as another dog, a special toy, or even a human member of the household who has moved out of the house or passed away. Environmental Changes: Changes in the environment can lead to depression as well. It refers to the seasonal depression people face in areas with very little sunlight in the winter. Your dog is sensitive, and sometimes, dogs can go through depression as the seasons change. Trauma: Finally, trauma can lead to depression. Signs of Depression In My Frenchie If your dog is depressed, four primary signs will last longer than just a couple of days. These are: Sleeping more. Animals, especially domestic ones, can also be depressed, but unlike people who can articulate their problems, animals are pretty much helpless in this department. That is why it is up to you as their owner and a friend! After all, the whole point of getting a dog is joy and who can be happy when their loved one is depressed, right? Frenchies are very delicate and emotional beings, no matter how tough some of them look on the outside! Being separated from their beloved human can cause serious problems. Some of them have more energy than others and they are more active, some are quieter and more introverted… After all, even Frenchies can have a bad day or be lazy from time to time, but here are some general symptoms that indicate your Frenchie may suffer from Frenchie depression: Appetite problems. Very often when a Frenchie is sad and going through some rough time, like losing his owner, pack member or a very close pet friend, he can lose interest in food and lose some weight. On some occasions, sad Frenchies soak their sorrow in food and gain some weight if that lasts longer. Changes in sleep. Losing interest. If your Frenchie no longer looks forward to things that used to make him happy, like going for a walk, favorite toy, food he used to love or playing with you and has generally become less active, he is probably depressed. Licking his paws. Some Frenchie do that to soothe themselves when they are in sorrow. If a Frenchie that is normally playful and energized tends to avoid people and goes somewhere he can be isolated, he is most likely injured, ill or depressed. In this case, you should first make sure there is not some physical problem that is bothering your French Bulldog, and if all physical causes are eliminated, then he probably has emotional problems. These are some of the clues for you, but safest thing is to take your frenchie to a vet. Only after you have eliminated all medical and physical issues, you can know for sure it is depression and then look for appropriate treatment. Play with him, take him for a walk more often than usual, take him to a park to play with other French Bulldogs or let him engage in some other activities he loves. Buy him some new toys, preferably one that will make him more occupied and distract him for a longer period of time. If your Frenchie has lost a pet companion, maybe you should get him another one. Give your Frenchie some time to bounce back, be patient and be there for him. Remember, you are the only person he can count on. If it takes too long for him to get back to being active, playful and his usual self, then you have no option but to take him to a veterinarian. He may need to do some blood analysis to eliminate the medical cause of this condition and after that, he may prescribe some french bulldog antidepressant. This should help your Frenchie go through this rough period, but remember- love and patience is the best cure for all living things, especially your furry little friend!

Socialisation is a process where puppies learn about the world around them, and how to live in it. In their first few months of life, puppies will learn to cope with all sorts of new situations: everything from meeting new people and dogs, to the hustle and bustle of city life. This is especially so for people that love animals yet experience allergic reactions when they come in contact with them. They are currently asleep in the lounge next to me and are a crazy adorable twosome with so much energy, which is wonderful. Crockett Doodles Swiss Doodles Swiss Doodles are an intentional cross between a tri-color mini Bernedoodle and a tri-color Aussiedoodle. We're the Crouch family, located in Greenville, SC, and friends of the Crocketts , who work with Crockett Doodles, a premier network of family-raised doodle puppies. To our knowledge we're the very first family to intentionally cross the Bernedoodle with the Aussiedoodle, and the results speak for themselves with our Swiss Doodles. Our Swiss Doodle pups have been amazing! People love Bernedoodles for their beautiful tri-color markings, hypoallergenic coat, and laid back temperament. Other families adore Aussiedoodles for their smaller size, incredible intelligence, great train-ability, and excellent health. Our family with Triplett, the mini Bernedoodle dad. He's the most wonderful dog and never leaves our side at the house! What is a Swiss Doodle? Swiss Doodles have hybrid vigor for increased health. Crossing the Bernese with a poodle to get a Bernedoodle , greatly increases their lifespan A Bernese will likely live years and a Bernedoodle .An average Aussiedoodle may well live to be years old. Also Aussiedoodles tend to have a more striking color patterns than Bernedoodles as they typically have more white in their color pattern than most Bernedoodles. In a nutshell the primary advantage of a Bernedoodle is the laid back temperament. People who choose an Aussiedoodle usually do so for the health, intelligence, and loyalty. Crockett Doodles has developed a reputation as an outstanding breeder of Aussiedoodles see www. Click here for Reviews. Why breed Swiss Doodles? At Crockett Doodles , we decided to work with the Crouch family and got them the perfect dogs for Swiss Doodles. We are crosssing the Crouch's tri-color mini Bernedoodle Triplett with our tri-color mini Aussiedoodle Opal. Triplett and Opal are both outstanding dogs with great health and wonderful temperaments. After a couple years of planning, our first ever litter of Swiss Doodles went to homes in .As far as we know we are the first breeder to intentionally cross a mini Bernedoodle with an Aussiedoodle. Our goal is to end up with a calm pup that everyone will mistake for a mini Bernedoodle, but they will have more striking color patterns including a lot of white , be healthier additional hybrid vigor , and easier to train because of the Aussiedoodle intelligence. We have been thrilled with our first several litters. We have even expanded to new partner homes to include mini Swiss Doodles. Why the name "Swiss Doodle"? Swiss Doodle is the perfect name because the basic tri-color phantom color pattern is characteristic of the four famous Swiss breeds of Sennenhund. These Swiss breeds are: 1. Appenzeller the Swiss name is Appenzeller Sennenhund 4. Entlebucher Mountain Dog in Swiss, this is the Entlebucher Sennenhund The Swiss breeds have identical color patterns, but vary in their size, and thickness of their coats. Nathan Crockett the founder of Crockett Doodles has strong Swiss ties and is excited to offer the new breed of Swiss Doodle as part of the Crockett Doodles network of home-raised doodle puppies. Nathan's maternal grandmother grew up in Switzerland, married a Dutch man, and partially raised her children including Nathan's mom in Holland. We love our Bernedoodles and our Aussiedoodles equally well. We understand why some families want a breed a little less energetic than the typical Aussiedoodle, but desire something easier to train and longer living than some Bernedoodles. We think the Swiss Doodle will become increasingly popular--particularly to early adopters. We realize that many people may just refer to their Swiss Doodle as a mini Bernedoodle, as most everyone mistakes them for that. We hope the name "Swiss Doodle" will stick, but we understand that some families may prefer to use the name "mini Bernedoodle" for their new family member. With two decades of experience in breeding dogs, we pride ourselves on selecting only the best dogs for our breeding program, which in turn ensures that we are producing the best puppies imaginable. We perform a series of strict health tests, including hip and elbow testing; eyes, heart, skin, and patella testing; and a series of genetic tests, on all of our breeding dogs. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We look forward to matching you with your next best friend! We wrote the first book on Bernedoodles buy now This comprehensive, easy-to-read and entertaining book covers everything you need to know about this amazing hybrid. Since Bernedoodles can vary significantly in size, build, coloring, and even personality, prospective owners need advice from someone who knows the breed inside out. Our Dogs Happy Owners Boomer is absolutely amazing and we are just enjoying having him with us so much! You did such a great job of socializing him and teaching him while he was with you — he allows me to go through the door first, he stops on the towel outside the door to be dried off. .From the very first night he slept through in his kennel — and loves that as his safe place. Because father and one daughter have allergies we thought that we never could have a pet. In the Internet we read an article about the Australian Labradoodle breed which neither loose hair nor dander. We became very interested and contacted the breeder Brig, to discuss our questions and reservations. She was very helpful at all times and we were very much impressed by her professional manner in all regards. She is a small breeder with a big heart for her dogs and puppies. We also talked to our doctor who was skeptical in the beginning but after testing hair samples he was convinced. She is also very clever and learns new things quickly. Our 2 daughters love her, and she acts as human as they do!!! Time flies. Zita is doing really well. She is such a sweet and loving puppy, and I can tell she was treated so sweetly by you and your family. We will always be grateful to you. Allergy Friendly Allergy friendly means that .The small population of people that have allergies to Australian Labradoodles are most likely allergic to dog saliva, and will generally react to any breed of dog, shedding or not. Appearance The Labradoodle is available in three sizes, Standard largest , Medium, and Miniature smallest. The appearance is the same for all three sizes. The Labradoodle is a compact dog, that is athletic, yet graceful, and always appears to be happy. The coat should be non-shedding, and as allergy friendly as possible. Sizes Standard: 22 — 26 inches, weighs 22 to 42 kg lbs Medium: 18 — 21 inches, weighs 15 to 21 kg lbs Miniature: 17 inches, weighs 10 to 15 kg lbs Temperament The temperament of the Labradoodle can be described in one word, FUN! Goldendoodles via ourdoodteddy How To Find A Reputable Goldendoodle Breeder Selecting a breeder is a major decision that everyone who wants to bring a Goldendoodle into their home has to face. You want to choose one carefully as their breeding practices will have an impact on the temperament and health of your Goldendoodle puppy. Start by looking at online sources such as Google reviews, online forums, discussion groups and social media platforms to see what other people are saying about the breeder. Did they have a good experience buying from them? To take your research a bit further, you can ask Goldendoodle organizations and clubs based in your area about their opinion of the breeder you are considering to purchase from. Many Goldendoodle clubs also have their own lists of responsible breeders so they can give you additional recommendations for good Goldendoodle breeders. You may also consider visiting some dog shows and events as they are a good opportunity to meet breeders in person and see their Goldendoodles. You can also ask other dog owners that are showing their Goldendoodles for breeder recommendations. Finally, ask potential breeders for references and consider contacting these people to ask about their experience with the breeder. Reputable breeders always prioritize the well-being of their dogs and strive for positive reviews. You should inquire about temperament and health of the Goldendoodle these people purchased. Use this information to make an informed decision. All reputable Goldendoodle breeders conduct them on their breeding dogs — whether they are breeding from purebred Golden Retrievers for F1 Goldendoodles and Poodles or from Goldendoodles for later generations like F2 Goldendoodles. A stipulates the health testing requirements for Goldendoodles and if the breeder is registered with G. A, you know that the breeding dogs have undergone full health testing. A heart clearance O. Ask to see documentation of these clearances before purchasing from a Goldendoodle breeder. All responsible breeders should be willing to provide any health documentation. They should also be happy to answer any questions you have about their breeding program. However, if you have the opportunity to check out the facilities you should do it. Check that the kennels are clean, that they dogs and puppies have access to fresh water and also that there is not a build up of feces or urine. Comfortable living conditions: The breeder should keep their Goldendoodles, Golden Retrievers and Poodles in comfortable living conditions. They should have large, comfortable kennels or dog beds and also have a decent amount of space to exercise and socialize with other dogs. Healthy breeding dogs and puppies: If you get the opportunity to meet the parents of the Goldendoodle litter you are interested in, make sure they are well-tempered and also healthy. Sometimes the mother will be quite protective of her puppies so she may show signs of aggression. If you are purchasing a puppy online and getting it delivered, ask if the breeder would be happy to video call you or send videos of their Goldendoodle puppies and breeding dogs to you. Ask About Socialization Goldendoodle breeders should begin the socialization process before their puppies are sold. The puppies should be exposed to a wide variety of sounds, experiences, people and places so they can adjust to their new homes and adult life. Nevertheless, they should start exposing them to sounds like household appliances, provide mental stimulation with toys and games and also encourage playtime and interactions with their littermates and family. The most common ones are: Lack of registration: If a Goldendoodle breeder cannot provide registration papers or other relevant documentation, it may be a sign that they are not operating a reputable breeding program. Overbreeding: Think twice about purchasing from a Goldendoodle breeder who always has puppies available or offers an excessive amount of dog breeds. This may suggest that the breeder is overly focused on profit instead of the health and wellbeing of their puppies. Lack of health checks: A reputable Goldendoodle breeder will conduct health clearances on their breeding dogs to ensure they are free of genetic health issues that could be passed on. If a breeder cannot provide documentation of these health checks, it may be a sign that they are not prioritizing health. Further Reading.
